Ooo I don't blame you for spending £40 in Lakeland! It's a good job I don't have one local to me, or my debt would be considerably higher. I just 'window shop' online!

5:15am?! You deserve a medal! OMG!
    Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! Now £44684.
    Fat loss 29/85lbs // £100 into £10k £243.07/£10k
    HSBC Loan 9658 // HSBC CC 3484 // HSBC CC 1464 // DP's 779 // Car 0% 4851 // Halifax OD 1348 // HSBC OD 1.5k // HSBC OD 1k // Barclays OD 400 // IOMOM 4400 // S Loan 15k // Cap1 £800
  • Right, after putting my fella's over time check in and i think my quidco money has been paid i am out of being over the overdraft limit........for today. The quidco money is my dads as we did his house insurance through there to get it cheaper for him.
The money for the final gas/elec bill hasnt gone out and was due so think i may get charged for that as well! PANTS!!!!!!
On a good note i have transferred £1600 of the overdraft to the egg2 card so at least half the overdraft is 0% (although not sure i will have it paid off by next year)just means the egg2 card is now maxed................the figures seem to be changing but the debt isnt going down, just around!!
Going to ring up the mortgage company tomorrow and see if i can have a payment holiday. Really didnt want too but want to be out the overdraft now, sick of living in it now.

I have survived my first week at work, things actually clicked into place today as i was the nurse in charge and not shadowing!!! Today was slightly easier as i know i am not back at work till next wed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whoo hoo!!!!!:j have also had 3 nsd's!!!!!!!! (good job with the way the account is looking) not planning on spending tomorrow so that should be 4 but will be food shopping on fri so not one then.

Sold another 2 items on ebay today so have made a total of £13!!! have got 10 items ending tomorrow and none have bids on yet, fingers crossed for that.

    Plan for tomorrow:
    • housework as my fella has done nothing in the house (i didnt think he would)
    • loaf's in the bm, not managed to make one when working so need to make a supply
    • ironing
    • write letter cancelling second mobile (yes i know, still havent done this!!)
    • ring house phone people and downgrade package
    • ring mortgage company and request payment holiday
    • sort out the ebay pile and try and photo as much as possible ready to list
    • maybe bake some yummy cakes/biscuits (saves me buying them)
    • sausage casserole and mash for tea tomorrow.
    • think of ways to make more money to through at the debts (I WANT THEM GONE)
Not much planned:rolleyes: My fella hasnt spent in the garages this week, i think going over the overdraft has scared him a little and woke us both up to our spending ways as we have been slipping into old habits (him in garages, me on things i think we need, both on take aways as cant be bothered to cook)

Have £200+ coming hopefully in April from quidco!!!! think that will have to be thrown at the egg2 card as hate the fact its maxed even though its helping us out of the overdraft. psychological!

  • Just when i think there is no god, a miracle happens!!!!! checked my bank account this morning to see if anything else had gone out and check how we are doing with the limit, i find a total of £655 has been put in!!!!!!! i am thinking its the tax credits, and if so the stupid man on fri caused my huge meltdown for nothing. I have a feeling i have recieved my monthly tax credits and some back pay for the childcare. Hoping the £434 is going to be my monthly amount which will help us soooooooooo much. Just waiting for the paperwork to arrive to confirm how much we will be getting, but at least this month i only need to pay £154 towards the childcare bill. Oooh i may be able to overpay this month after all!!!!!!!
need to work out the budget again. least i know i def have my fella on board now as this has really got to him.................................will it last i wonder.

also checked the balance of the hbos cc as i overpaid taking interest into account and they owe us £10!!!!!! whoo hoo! can do a balance transfer to that card now but doesnt give any details of deals they will give us, could transfer the rest of the overdraft to it but not if i am going to pay lots of interest, may as well keep it where it is and save the transfer fee.

    5 days till payday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :j :j :j :j :j

right off to rejig the budget................is it sad that i love doing my budget??!!

    Mobiles *3 = £155

    Food =£200.00
    Kids savings =£10
My savings =£50.00 (pays for car tax, ins etc & emergancies)
    Petrol =£250??
    Xmas saving = £50.00
    Pay back mil = £50
    Egg 1 = £50
    Egg 2 = £50
    final gas/elec bill = £156

    which leaves [strike]£79.46 [/strike] £560.28 spare

Ummmm, that looks better than i thought it would???????? didnt think i would have that much left over.............................. will wait till the end of the month i think before i pay extra off as i dont want to pay extra off and find it bites in the bum at the end of the month............but the plan is:
    • an extra £50 to mil
    • an extra £50 to each credit card
    • pay off the quad £70
which will leave £340.38 for the overdraft and anything else that crops up. Have got car insuarance due for renewal in may so may have to use it for that................

Hi Rags - nice to have you back! Been missing you! I have replied to you on my diary about the spreadsheet thing!!

Great news about the tax credits!!! You can breathe a little easier this month. Don't forget you were considering putting the overpayment money to one side until the end of the month..... just in case you need it for anything else!

Have a great day - I'll be around for most of it!!

hello rags - nice to have you back!! glad work wasnt to bad.
The child benifit has gone up - £20 for first and cant remember for the second (think £13.50??)

Dont worry about the debts moving around - you are going to clear them quicker because of the amount of interest you will save - so better in the long run!

have a good day of work, glad your oh is on board for the time being - I have to take advantage of when mine is as it doesnt seem to last that long....

  • I am offically very happy!!!!! just had the paperwork through for the tax credits and will be getting £434 or so next month too!! it then says that in april i will get £660 but not banking on that as will have to declare the rise in earnings on the 6th april. But the £400 helps soooo much, i am not going to ask for a mortgage payment holiday now (although have just read it appears on your credit rating which will look bad when we come to look for a new deal in the summer) as the left over money from this month and next month will help to get us near the black (and we intened to stay that way!!)

  • I am now a member of the spreadsheet gang!!!!!!!:j :j :j :j :j

A big thank you to nat for doing one for me!!!!! (although i hope im not the reason you didnt have time to update your stuff on your diary:o ) Cant wait to get it all filled in!!!!!

Well, work have rung me up and changed my shifts (think one of the nurses has had to go back home to india but not so sure) so am now working mon, tues and wed BUT have also got training on health and safety on thurs so there is another possible 8.5 hours added which works out at nearly £90 extra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this i have decided will go straight onto paying the debts. Gonna let them know i can do any extra shifts they need as it is kind of an emergancy!!!!!!

So that means next month i will have an extra £200 from quidco and possible £90 from work (taking off tax of course) and will hopefully have £30 from the scratchcards by next month (10p everyday on all 3 takes an age to build up!!!!) so will hopefully have £300 extra to throw at them!!!!!!! Which should hopefully put me back on target for paying off my £4k by the end of the year!!!!!!

didnt do so well on the 9 items that ended last night, only 1 item sold and for what the auction was started at!!!!! anyone else thinking its gone very slow??
