  • Just when i think i have it alll under control, something comes up to bite me in the bum, big style.

Today its my next account.............................................egg card is showing that the balance transfer went through but next have no record of recieving it!!!!! I havent recieved any statements since the transfer was supposed to go through so wasnt aware so now have 2 charges on the account. They tried to lift the chrages but couldnt. so at the moment i am paying for the same debt twice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have sent egg an email so should hopefully will hear from them early next week.

    POO PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paid off the standing amount i owed on the account so at least it is up to date now, and means i have so very nearly paid off £1k since jan 1st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! £100 to go, hopefully will meet that at the end of the month when i can see how much we have spent and how much we have left over.

Will have plenty extra to throw at the debts next month with the overtime at work and money from quidco.............. that should hopefully clear the next account.

Have changed the kiddies saving accounts to the 8% interest ones so they will be loaded when they are 18!!!!!!!!! have to pay £10 in every month but can pay in up to £100 every month, handy for when they get money for pressies but dont need anything.

Nothing much else to report, should hopefully find out next week how much overtime i will get next month, think am gonna need loads to get back on track.......................... thought i had got away from one step forward, two steps back.

oh well, tomorrow is another day!
    will keep smiling

Morning Rags!! What rotten news on the Next payment. However, if you find that Egg are at fault (and it is possible!) then you can ask them to cover the charges you have incurred!! Well, its only fair aint it?!!

Well done on almost reaching the £1000 mark!! I am not going to update me signature until my loan payment goes out on Monday... then I will be just over the £1000 - will have some serious overpayments to make once my OD is sorted though if I am going to make my target of £6500 for the year!!

Have a great weekend - you keep smiling too, Nats x

am going to have to keep an eye on my meter readings now as think i have been using alot. Have programmed my thermo thingy so that when no one is in the house there should be no heating on.......... this should help.

  • ooh, forgot to add, my fella rang egg as the card is in his name and they said that the money was sent and recieved to next. Said it might have gone into a "bucket" (???????) and need to ring them and tell them!!! what a bloody palava. Will find out in the next 5 days what next say as they are now investigating this. If they find the missing money (which seems to be just floating around somewhere) that means i have overpaid by about £50 so will be able to get something out of the catalouge without it costing me any more!! fingers crossed they do find it.......................

  • Hello peeps!!!

It is a lovely day here, have actually got my washing out on the line today and another load in the washing machine to hang out too (mostly bedding as there is nothing better than climbing into a clean bed thats been dried outside:D ) Cant wait for summer (if we get one this year?!) no heating or using the dryer!!!!!!!!!

Doing the weekly shopping today, fingers crossed i dont spend a fortune. Have given up doing the meal plan as my fella doesnt really stick to it when im at work so the stuff goes to waste, am just making sure the freezer has plenty in.

Ooh just noticed the diaries are having a trail bhoard of there own!!!!!!! not sure if it will be a good thing, but at least some questions wont get lost between all the diaries.....................

Have had a good baking session with ds1, he loves it and i even got him a "mummys little helper" pinny that i got for £3!!!!!! the first batch lasted 10 mins between him and my fella so we had to whip up another batch. I know eating cakes is bad, but at least i know whats in it, no colours, flavourings or e numbers and used the half and half suger (??) so not as bad as shop bought stuff. And he loves baking with mummy!!!!!

Batch cooking my bread today in the bm, working loads next week so at least if i have a few loafs made we will be ok for a few days.........

  • Hello peeps,

Hope everyone had a good weekend? I did spend a fortune on the weekly shopping but think its all the fruit and veg i am buying at the mo for meals, snacks and ds2's purees that bumping up the price. Should hopefully go back down in a few months when he starts on finger foods and not puree'd stuff.

Well have got an extra 4 shifts next month so far, so that will be an extra £400+ in my wage. so by mays wage i will of had £800 on top of what i normally pay at the debts. Thats not including my free money and any overtime my fella gets.

Its mothers day on sunday and i have no idea what to get the "nannies"??????????? what is everyone else getting/making??? we usually buy the flower baskets but wanted ds1 to make something so its cheaper but more personal. was thinking of maybe planting a bulb or something in a pot??????

working with my mum today as extra, the money from today and friday (working with her again) will go straight into the bank so will of got my car seats for nothing!!

My fella is being really good and since we went over the overdraft limit he has not spent in the garages and has now started to be money savvy!!!!! we talked on sunday about how much extra money we would have if we wern't in debt and how much time we could knock off our mortgage if we could overpay, and how much we would have in savings to buy all the nice things we want.................................bit depressing but think it has been another kick in the btm to get rid of the debts.

It took the mil 40 mins to get into the house the other day so thinking we really need new doors, just need to find a way to get them. Going to go down on the company who we are going to use's open day at the end of april and see what deals they have. If its worth it we may just add it to the cc (bad, bad i know but needs must and cant cope with mil constantly going on about my doors)

right, am off to turn myself into a waitress for my mums cafe!!! wish me luck!
