  • Have had a lovely day with my mum today, oh went rallying with my dad and brother.

She even bought me lunch!!!!!! thank you mummy!!!

Had a light spend day today, bought a new fob watch as mine doesnt work anymore (was a freebie from a wound dressings rep) and ds2's photos (does everyone else have "cherub" photos's??? profeesional pictures taken at 4-5 months, 8-9 months and 1 year old) Also ordered a footmuff for ds2's pram as it has turned freezing now and he really needs one (turns into a seat protector in the summer)

my mum is the manager/head chef at the cafe where she works and has offered me 2 shifts the week after next! whoo hoo!!!! That will be an extra £60, am gonna get the 2 child seats we need with that and put the money left over to the debts. my oh is also trying to get some weekend work in too...................

WE WILL BE DEBT FREE ONE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hello everyone!!! hope you all have had a good weekend???

Went and did the shopping today, back to aldi and then topping up at either mr m's or mr a's, but spent £90!!!!!!!!!!!!! must say that my cupboards were bare and have been really struggling towards the end of the week for things to eat (had no breakfast cereal what so ever or flour for bread) so am now stocked up and tready to go!!!!!!!!!

have just been in putting my figures into my shiney, shiney spreadsheet and even though i have it down in black and white from my bank statements, just seeing the weekly amounts is shocking!!!!!!! no wonder we hit the overdraft limit as overspent every month!!!!! the bank statements dont run from the 1st to the end of the month so dont think we have had a clear picture. Miles better now i have it in columns to seperate the outgoings.

I really think adding all spending into spreadsheet will be like doing a spending diary for me!!!!!!!

working 4 days this week so there is another 4 no spend days to come and think the oh will stay out of the garages (he'd better or is in major trouble with all the effort im putting in) thinking the only spending i have this week coming is for ds2's footmuff for pram (but have £10 voucher to put towards it) and the weekly shop. (not including the debt repayments that are due out this week)

hoping that the less we spend this month the more we can pay off the debts what with the extra tax credits and no council tax and loan to pay this month. Debating wether to relist items on ebay tonight...........................think its a bit off having to pay when your item doesnt sell.............................

Rags... I think (I am almost certain!) that if you lick on the 'relist' option for the item (instead of starting again from scratch!) when the item sells, you will be refunded one set of listing charges. This only happens if the item sells on its second time around.

Glad the spreadhseet's working for you - catch up in the week.... have a good time at work! ;O)

  • Congrats on the tax credits! Bet that's a relief off your mind. :D

Glad to hear you've got some extra work with your Mum. Every bit of cash counts!

I agree with nat about the relist option. I'm sure that's the case.

  • Helllooooo peeps!!!!!!

well its my payday tomorrow so my account will actually be back in the black tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whoo hoo!! wont stay that way for long as paying the childcare bill, egg card1 and transfering money to certain savings accounts.

the balance transfer has gone through from the overdraft so although the bank account looks good, the debt has just moved......................................

found out today that one of the other nurses is very ill and wont be coming back for a few months........i have taken on extra shifts to help them out (was only supposed to be working 3 days when i went back) but will add up how much the extra will come to and pay that off the debts when i get paid, straight away!!!!!! So it will still be easy to live in the budget when the extra shifts finishes.

today has been a bit of a rollercoaster emotionally, bad news and good news..............

Hi Rags! Sorry to hear you've had an up and down day... I only hope the ups were really good!

Not necessarily a good reason to be working extra shifts (colleague illness) but it will help you guys out!

Enjoy the rest of the evening, Nats x

I really DID NOT mean "lick on the relist option!" I don't think this would help you in any shape or form - it would just put saliva streaks on your screen!!
