this seems common, they hold for 24 hours from online reservation but are slow to update the online stock once time is up...always worth going in and asking...Ive done this with the singstar mics none in stock until you ask...good deal this camera

laticsforlife, they may have one left if you pop in, I think they had a couple in the Dixons in Burnley as well when they checked the stock at PCworld as they are in the same group.

They have stock in peterborough and barnsley, i got the nottingham store to check this morning. Couldn't get dixons or currys to pricematch...they were having none of it as the closest in stock was peterborough

It's not in stock in any pc world near my house nor is it available for home delivery! It is in stock in currys however, but for the price promise it needs to be available for delivery! :mad:

They don't always show in stock for reserve and collect (think its if theres less than 3 in store), its better to go into your local store and ask them to check their systems

I went earlier for a different camera and they had absolutely NO cameras in stock!! :eek: I've just checked and there's none in stock in the whole of London! It seems like a really good buy, better than the Panasonic Lumix TZ5 I originally planned to get! I bet by the time they get it back in stock the offer will end - as they always do, grrr!!

Checked my local PCWorld, but sold out. All the cheap deals had gone....can any be ordered online (Currys or PCWorld)?

Hi all... Happy New Year to you!

I also had problems trying to find a PC World in the local area which had one of these cameras, so contacted their Customer Service Line - who told me that once the stock was gone, it was gone.

I then went on the Currys website, found the same camera in stock and then phoned their customer service line and asked them to price match it. At first they refused saying it wasn't in stock at PC World. I then pointed out to the chap I spoke to that the product code was exactly the same and that PC World and Currys are sister companies - so should match the price regardless. After a lot of discussion, he phoned the store that had one, got them to reserve it and price matched it. Remember to take the PC World paperwork with you clearly stating the reduced price if you're successful in finding one as the manager I spoke to in Currys refused to give me the price match at first.
