great except it's one of those elusive ones - which store actually has one?The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

I actually went to my store today in Burnley and they had 2 in stock, but on the reserve online function on the pcworld website it actually said there were none in stock, so its worth checking in your local store!!!0

usefulbit of info that - I've heard of the opposite situation (i.e. stock shows but none there) but not that - will pop into my PCW on Mon!The thanks button is here to the right. i have got the E500 which is an older camera but it takes some brilliant pictures and once you start using one of these types of cameras you will not want to use a budget camera again.0

If you are interested I actually went to another store first within my region who did not have them in stock, but the sales person checked on his system and found a store who had them within my area, even though it says on the pcw website whilst checking at home they had none in stock.
By the way the camera is really good!0 -
Many thanks to the OP for this ....
It took me a while to hunt around, visit a couple of stores and then get them to check stock levels, eventially I found out that very few PC world stores in the UK have pristine units in-stock, but they also show Currys/Dixons availiablity, although Currys sell for £283.
Just got it from Currys, who will price match the PCworld price and give you 10% difference. Therefore just paid under £160 for a d-SLR with 2 lenses!
Just playing with it now - although not the latest model, it's a great package.0 -
Well done, but how did you get Currys to price match if PC Worlds were out of stock? (My Currys has 10 whereas next door in PC World, they have none!)0
-
They verified the price and confirmed that there was stock in the region (I don't know exactly what region meant to them) - but I guess it meant - "it could be bought at PC world in the area".

I spoke to customer services and they said they should be getting more in stock, hence the fact it's still on the website (take that with a pinch of salt though). I was also told as soon as it's in stock to price match with Currys and get the 10% off.0
