Notsosharp....chav type lads with Staffies and Bull terriers would be a start!

You don't know they are thick though do you?
  • Yeah massive ego boost to save akitas from being PTS because of irresponsible people who can not take care of their dogs... if only you knew you small minded little man!

it is the attitudes of people like you that put these dogs at risk. nothing to do with ego to own a large breed dog that is well cared for & well trained, the only "ego boost" i get is the pleasure of being able to walk my two akitas and knowing that i have saved one from a puppy farm & rhomed another that was in need, so yes i am proud and make no appologies for it!

I think it's only an ego boost to the irresponsible owners. In my case I have a Stafford x, a breed alot think is dangerous & of course could do alot of damage. I didn't get her as an ego boost, I went to a rescue with an open mind, wanting an older dog & they matched her to me. I didn't look round the dogs, or say I want a Staff. They knew their dogs, listened to what I wanted & I said what I could offer a dog, and they picked her out & she's the perfect dog for me

Sarah...its the breed too. Why have such a dog. Is it an ego booster?

    For some it is.

I can't understand why responsible dog owners aren't screaming for more powers to have owners vetted & stop chavy thugs buying big dogs to make themselves look 'ard.

After all I'm pretty sure the dogs that live with these types of owners lead pretty miserable lives & you would think dog lovers would want to do all they could to prevent that.

Resonsible dog owners are, there are many petiions that have been submtted helping to promote good ownership & thedogs that ultimately are the ones that suffer
