Medion or micromaxx...where's the best place to get one? (i.e. cheapest)
Cheers people.0 -
I have now got the POI observer all set up and running great on my Micromaxx running medion navigator v5.0. Many thanks to Bubba for your help and to ShaunJUK for sorting it all out in the first place. Just one question is there any way to adapt this to tell me what speed the road is when I get a camera warning?
Cheers

Cheers people.
It would have been somerfield/kwik save for £130 but I think you would have to be extremely lucky to find one now. You could always try phoning around but be warned. The shop my brother got his from said they had none and even when he went instore they said they had none. When my sister in law asked they found 2.0 -

Which one would people recommend? The Mio 168 or the MD41800 PPC250 from https://www.medionshop.co.uk ??
The 250 doesn't have a GPS system attached to it, but has an external one, but i've read the external ones better at picking reception?0 -
I have no experiance with other pda's or sat nav systems but I bought my Mio168 from here http://www.cooltopia.com/product.php?xProd=4916 in October last year "bare bones system".
I all ready had a memory card and I installed tomtom5 on it .
It as been the best gadget I have purchased in yonks.
I have been sub contracting around the North west and this pda as made life so much easier.
I used to be planning routes out the night before, maps all over the place.
thats all gone now though thanks to this bit of kit.
Hope this helps.

I have copied the files to the PDA, but I'm now stuck
In VirtComMgr, I get the message 'Can't open Com 1 Error no. 55 The specified network resource or device is no longer available' when I click on Test Raw or Test GPS.
Any ideas?
P.S. Should have said I'm following ShaunJUK's POI Observer Easy Setup from page 1 of this thread.0 -
The MDPPC150 / Mio 168 has an integrated GPS unit which folds out of the back. There's a little rubber flap which you can move to plug an external GPS unit in.Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:
