Does this do the same as upgrading the firmware, as detailed elsewhere, even if you don't intend to use TomTom?
Now u/g the firmware to R03 so consider it's a 'no' to the above. The 'monitor' shows no MSS data from the GPS unit, not that I can find what MSS is in the NMEA codes. Nice to have altitude data even if it's a bit wobbly (at least under RO1).

  • Firstly Hi and what a find this site has been.
This post is great as I have the MD PPC 150 with Medion Navigator v5.0 installed.
This works really well but I would love to be able to get to the link in the first post on here for the POI Observer with speed cameras. However everytime I cliock on this I am taken to the MSE main page.
Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong or provide me with a link please?

The link works fine for me, it doesn't actually take you away from this site it just brings up a pop-up download window asking if you want to open or save the file. Could it be your security settings are too high? If you want me to e-mail them just pm me with your e-mail addy.

    Cheers,

The one supplied is Medion Navigator powered by navigon not Navigon Navigator. Although they are very alike they have loads of differences. I got mine from Ebay for £55 from someone who sold it that cheap because he thought it was the same as other ones being sold. The other ones were in fact the Medion Navigon Navigator that came bundled with the somerfield PDA. there were over 70 of these 2 disk sets up for grabs when I got the 2 DVD set from the seller. Loads of people selling them describe them as Navigon Navigator and not the medion one. I would hate to see peoples faces when they try to update to the latest version as they dont have a valid 15 digit key to register it (I dont even think the 5.1 upgrade works with the medion one)The 2 DVD,s gave it away, thats how I knew it was Navigon and not Medion. The seller said he got it with his PDA but already had TOMTOM. It was unopened and comes with maps for the whole of europe, america and other places as well. Although you have to buy licenses for the other regions as it only lets you use 1 with the same license
