just to let you huys know that there will be a lag if you use the bundled 256mb memory card compared to buying a new card... for example on 2 pdas, both using tomtom 5 there is a 3 second speed gap in loading the program with it installed on the original card and on a 1GB mmc card.... also during navigation/voices there is also a 1 second or a little less lag....
this is what i have found out anyway for the 2 pdas that i bought..... and might be useful for you to know....0 -

Nope this isnt the case with my TomTom5. I have put tom tom on 4 different cards ranging from 256MB - 1 GB and there is no difference. Navigon has been more accurate for me compared to TomTom0 -
Can someone give me a simple guide to the advantages and disadvantages of Navigon vs TomTom 5? What's the justification for the extra £150 or so for the software?0

I find TomTom alot faster when using menu's and processing journeys etc and its simplier to use IMO, im sure most people on here havent paid £150 for it tho more like £00

scooter did u use the original card? since i was not really talking about the size of the card but the one that comes with the unit...0

I can't post a link, but has anyone noticed the European maps compatible with Navign 5) Product No. 40014671 for £104.99?
This is the icing on the cake for us - can't see any advantages in the Garmin now.
Hope this helps someone

I used the one that came with the unit at first but because TomTom kept lagging I installed Navigon on it and put TomTom on another one. There was no difference. I just feel that Navigon Mobile Navigator upgraded to V5.1 and used together with POI-Warner is more accurate. However I tried TOMTOM V5.2 on 2D view and the results were better. more accurate but I still prefer Navigon0 -
ok... guess its different for other people.... i noticed a lag straight away using the original 256mb card and the one i had lying around....0
