Hi,
I,m on JSA in one borough and living with family so no housing benefits,
now i'm thinking of moving out and was looking into how much i can cliam, but can i get a flat in a different borough?
i checked and the benefits for the other borough are higher...big diference £178-£260 weekly, only 7min extra drive and the prices are more or less the same to rent.
Has any one had any experiance with signing for JSA in one Borough and Claiming housing benefits in anothor borough? do i simply need to change to the new borough Job Centre for JSA?

Seven minutes drive from where?
It sounds like you're planning on being on JSA for a good long while; I expect you'll be on here soon complaining about how you can't "afford" to take certain jobs because your rent's so high!:mad:0 -
why the  ?
I'm looking to learn and will be getting advice on how to fund that too
I'm 31 and this is the first time ever that i'm trying to get somthing back for all i have paid through the years Income tax, N,I, etc.
I have now signed three times and still not got even the JSA...
is that wrong???
:A0 -
oh, and seven minute drive from borough to the other0
-
so your going on JSA to "get somethign back for all i have paid through the years ..."
What utter !!!!!!!!. So what! you wont be able to take on any jobs given to you because your still getting everything back that you think is owed to you.
Stop trying to find out how to scrounge the most amount of money!!0 -
DNF,
There is nothing to stop you moving to anywhere in the country, however you do need to remember that you will have to pay the rent yourself when you start work. You will have great difficulty paying £260 a week if you are only earning minimum wage.
You should also be aware that the chances of a landlord letting a £260 a week property to a benefit claimant are extremely low!Gone ... or have I?0 -
thanks all...

It's funny how even some of the older bloggers just don't take a min to think b4 they respond, or maybe they realy think every one is stupid.0

You do not need to sign on to claim LHA.
Surely someone who earns £35K would have a better use of grammar, and not still be living with their parents?
