I've only gone and popped my no spend cherry_party_
I'd like to officially state that yesterday was a no spend day, nada, zilch, zip not a dime, cent or ickle bitty penny left my purse or bank account. I was tempted to buy a cucumber as I had forgotten this from my weekly shop but I improvised:p
That was good because I do have funny ideas:rolleyes: and I always eat with my eyes first, and I knew I wanted to have pasta tuna salad for lunch this week at work (I tend to do one whole week of the same thing- easy for shopping and I don't mind)So that would mean pasta tuna sweetcorn and cucumber, but with no cucumber it would not be visually appealling:think: but I threw in a bit of tired celery and some chopped chives and now I'm happy (it's not my fault I was born like this)
Anyway what all this waffle is saying is I did not buy the cucumber which would have led to other purchases;)
Chevalier- thanks for those kind words, are you really debt free:T massive respect. I may see if I can take a peak at how you managed.
Stop Press- the bedroom is wallpapered:j
Happy Monday

Hi! All good on the OBNW front then - I put strange (ish) foods together too. When I was a Uni student I ate strange things, got strange looks from my housemates, but in all honesty, the dishes were usually pretty darn tasty!!

well done on doing the wallpapering hun!
I have been offered a housing association flat, so I am thrilled to bits but having to start up a new sealed pot to save for a cooker and curtains. It means less rent for me to fork out as out of work, claim the benefit, but it doesnt cover the full amount. More importantly for me though, I have been hoping for a 'council flat' since I was pregnant with my son, he was 11 yesterday!
He had a lovely day and I had a lovely mess to sort out!!!
cheers

Not to mention a very effective laxative. :eek:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
