    Hi OBNW!! :D

Don't fret over the debt-busting... we've all been through feeling like things are not moving as quick as we would like! ... well I certainly have!

Good luck with the spreadsheet instructions... if they make no sense, I can email you a copy of the spreadsheet I made up for Rags... its not particularly pretty - but it is functional.... which I think is more important! Icould put in an extra column in for your 'steps' if you like.. daily, weekly, monthly and even annually.... could be interesting!!;)

Is there anything else you can do to give you a new focus on the debt-busting? I only ask as this afternoon I am sorting through the mobiles that I have laying around and am going to organise sending them off to get some 'free money' for them.... every little helps!

Have a good weekend. I am toying with the idea of going to the pub this evening for a few drinkies..... well why not!!?

    Hi OBNW

:grouphug: I think we all go through that moment... when you've been good but don't see an instant result so it brings you back down a peg or two.. ... I guess I've been trying to make it my main focus that I've not been getting further into debt at the moment and I'm living within my budget (even if that means budgets shifting about).
Boo to Aunt Flo... she really doesn't help things the b!t*h...

Hope you had a good weekend and are feeling a little bit more positive.. I'm off to start a new to do list!!!

    :rotfl:

Just wanted to reply to you here on the boring grown up Mortgage stuff (sorry!) – fixed rate – yep mine runs out end of this month, they originally wrote to me in January telling me it was running out and ‘to go on… give us a call to discuss future options’… so I did…. The fixed rates they were offering were pants!! But mainly because my LTV is 90% - so they were offering 6.?? % (?? – can’t remember exactly what!) … which is more than I’m paying now.

The variable rate however, is currently 3% - Am with the Nationwide, and part of their rules is they’re only allowed to charge 2% above the Bank of England… who cut it recently to 0.5% - so that should follow in a few months. My mortgage is quite small though as I’m shared ownership – so am only saving £70 a month – whereas most with bigger mortgages will be much better off!!!

So I would say you’re due a letter soon, but its not a bad time to start looking into it….. I posted on the mortgage boards and there are some Yoda’s over there with wise advice! ;)

    xx
