    Hey you're back:j

Tell you what in your honour I'll do my food shopping at ASDA this afternoon! Although I guess I should really shop on line to keep the drivers employed:think:

I never went - just haven't been around much lately.

Please don't feel any obligation whatsoever to shop at ASDA, because I work for them - it is a thankless job which I dislike with a vengeance, but it's money. I was refused any jobseeker's allowance, or benefits, because I was self-employed for 30 years, so I had to get something to help pay the bills. Someone was running a thread on the lines of 'would you take a minimum wage job to pay your debts?' - and that's exactly what I did. Pay is a few pence above minimum wage - we are treated like errant schoolboys and are not allowed to express an opinion. To be fair, though, it is the best incentive that I have ever had to find meaningful employment, and, fingers crossed, I am very close to agreeing an offer that was made to me last week (main reason why I've not been about).

Enjoy the weather - it's forecast to change next week,

:hello: Here I am!!!!! Hi OBNW, just felt the vibes from your kick in the pants you gave me on my diary so having posted there thought I'd pop over here and see how you are.

Thanks for missing me. Work has been totally manic for a couple of weeks and I'm afraid I have neglected to post for a while .... but I have been on the wagon and have been sticking to my DFW ways .... apart from what was meant to be a cheap weekend in London for OH's birthday which ended up costing £200 with tubes tickets, food etc etc. I had budgeted £150 so have made a few adjustments and will just about manage to not go overdrawn this month!!

For going AWOL I suppose I should get onto the naughty step so nicely kept warm by nats! Is 15 minutes enough - ADHD kicks in after 10 mins so will be doing well to last 15!! :rotfl:

I have been feeling a bit low this last week. Tired from work but like you, possibly a bit bored with the debt busting too. 2012 seems a long way away sometimes and although it feels good to be reducing the debt, I agree that the carefree days of burying ones head in the sand did seem more fun!!! Having said that I do feel better for budgeting and knowing I'm not going to go into the OD at the end of the month. It's just that when we were in London I kept seeing every extra expense as 'unnecessary' and found it hard to just spend money, even though it was budgeted to be 'wasted'. Must try to get the balance right otherwise I'm in for total depression by the end of 2010!!!!!

Hope you have had a great Mothers Day. I had some lovely DFW cards made by the kids and a fab lunch at my parents .... and the sun was shining so all in all a great day!

Will try to log in more this week as it does make me feel better to be with you all. :grouphug: (This is meant to be a group hug but looks a bit dodgy to me!)

  • :hello: hi OBNW

I've not been around for a couple of days as been feeling a bit low due to the bloke thing (or lack of bloke thing). Just dont know where I keep going wrong!

I'll be alright in a few weeks!

Been invited out for a girls meal out, at the end of the month and I have said yes although its gonna be slap bang in the middle of the move, but I need to get out! Oh and also been invited on another girls night out in May.

Did you have a nice mothers day? My son brought me a cuppa in bed, and then I had a nice soak in the bath but nicked my leg shaving and had to get out cos it made me feel sick (soft a*se me!) so had another cuppa in bed! and then we had cake for breakfast! Just a little sponge cake I made on saturday!

    catch you soon
