Rog...... Any news to tell me????????

Not yet, OBNW - was 'promised' an answer by the end of the week - don't know if that includes Good Friday.

It's difficult to remain optimistic and doesn't seem like a case of 'no news is good news', so I'm still scouring 'Jobsite' - just in case.

It's my payday today - don't know how much, but it won't be much - I haven't had any work for the last ten days. I'll go in for my payslip tomorrow, though.

    Have a Great Easter everyone.
    :easter: :EasterBun :easter:

  • Okay I've survived Easter, had a great weekend actually.
I went to see the boat that rocks on Friday that was cool, then I went to a 70,s birthday on Saturday night and danced like a crazy person for hours (I've been on 4 hourly painkillers for two days solid and rubbing arnica on some random bruises):o I honestly don't think there was a Sunday this weekend so it was lucky we had a bank holiday on the Monday wasn't it. We had an Easter party you know I hid the Easter Eggs in the woods the kids went hunting for them, found all but three!!! then it was pin the tail on the Wabbit followed by smashing the Easter pinata etc etc etc.
Money is still very tight in my house, but i've got a 18th and a 20th birthday to cope with still:eek: I'm trying my best but everything is so uncertain with redundancy looming etc:confused:
I feel abit demoralised as I saw a makeover programme on TV yesterday and the before house looked better than my house:o

Rog- I hope you have had some good news.
Lewby, Nats kd and emms you're all :A

Afraid not, OBNW - not yet, at least. I am going to wait for them to contact me - I've been doing all the running up to now, and it probably makes it look as though I am desperate (which I am, of course, but don't want them to know.). So I'm busy scouring the recruitment websites again.

Even ASDA has gone quiet on me  I've had no work from them for the past two weeks.

Glad you had a good weekend. :T

  •:dance:_party_:dance:_party_Hi Emms great to have you back.

Ok still going strong on the debt busting here, although it's in disguise this month.
My daughter is 18 on Friday and another 20 next week so it is a heavy month. But I am please to report that even with all this expense I should be able to knock a few hundred off the dreaded total this month.
I'm feeling a little sorry for myself as without the looming redundancy being totally debt free and morgage free in five years was a possibility.
Oh well it's only money and some poor peeps have real problems.
I Have written to the Halifax to see what new morgage repayments would be after fixed rate runs out next month, I don't know weather to ask about extending the term incase I do end up supporting the family on my own:confused:
    Oh well beat regards all
    xx

    Good morning OBNW!!!

A quick question for you.... hope you don't mind!!

As you are an expert in the realms of walking and pedometers, do you know what distance (roughly of course!) that 10,000 steps equates too? We went walking last night and covered about 4 miles.... do you reckon that covered my 10,000 steps? (I was going to count my steps, but just couldn't be bothered!)

    Cheers-a-lot!! x

Ah ha! my specialist subject, now I walk 3.5 miles in 6600 steps but I have long legs 33" inside leg, so you would have been fairly close:D

I'm very busy at work, but the good news is my American bosses want me to do some more training in Houston Texas, maybe going out a week Saturday:eek: I like going to our US office but I'd love a little ore notice:rolleyes:
Anyway I am going to make sure I log on everyday and don't let things slip. It sould be quite moneysaving though 10 days in US on expenses;)

Thanks OBNW!!!! Now I look up to you in more than one way.... you are a money saving, debt-busting giant in my eyes! Literally!! My inside leg is only about 30"!!

Ooh a trip to Houston!! Wish we were a multi-national company - I don't get to go anywhere!!!! :o Ho-hum!! (could I travel in your suitcase?) Mmmm - expenses - make the most of them!! :rotfl:

Legs feel surprisingly good today despite the distance they covered last night. How often do you do 3.5miles?
