Any room at the Inn?

Hi All,
I have been lurking on this site for a couple of years, I've reclaimed my bank charges, remorgaged, changed various suppliers, used stardrops and even baked twinks hobnobs. During this time I have managed to avoid the real issue- tackling the 'debt'.
Is the room for another on this board? Since reading DFW I am inspired and realise if I'd have been brighter I could have joined you lot and be well on my way:o
I estimate my debt to be £40k:eek: Terrible as that is to admit on the plus side the income is enough to service this debt. So after the festivities when I have done a post Crimbo recky I'm going to be a dynamo.
Why did my LBM not hit until 2 years after I discovered this site
Enough waffle...
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and prosperous New Year
xx

Welcome on board X X
There is always room for another DFW.
You have a fabulous Christmas too...and a frugally fantastic 2009 until you kick those debts into touch. x x0 -
O.B.N.W, better late than never, good luck for the future.
Happy and prosperous New Year to you too.:beer:0 -
Don't beat yourself up; you may not have made inroads into your debt as yet, but you have surely prevented it from increasing!! If you post up a Statement of Affairs we can help you see where you can still make changes?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

don't worry at least it's turned on now and you know all the things you need to do to tackle it head on0

Happy New Year all,
I've done Christmas, New Year, Flu, a SOA and a snowball thingy which tells me my debts are £42k _pale_ and that I maybe able to pay back £1.5k a month and have a DFD Nov 2011:eek:
Oh boy how did this happen, anyway here I am 47 three kids and a wreck of a marriage to sort out:o
I'm going to start this snowballing thing, get a grip on my spending, join the sealed pot challenge...hell even the NSD's and talk carp on the daily thread if you'll let me.
My expectations are fairly reasonable, untangle myself from husband with minimum upset to all, become solvent, drop a dress size or two, find the secret of eternal youth and World peace.
Next step.... be brave put the big digit in my signature:eek:LBM- finally kicked in 16/12/08 @ [strike]£41,862 [/strike] £0.00/ DFD- 24/12/13

HI!!!! (wanted to put a wavey smiley - but can never find them when I want them... bit like keys to bleed the radiator!!)
Well done on embracing your situation and sharing it with us. If you can (and you feel brave enough!) pop your SOA on here and there will be some 'old-hats' that will pass and make suggestions based on your expenditure to help release some extra money for using to banish that debt!
I'm off now ('sposed to be working!) but I have subscribed to you and will be back to read about your progress!
All the best, Nats :beer:start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
