Lose Weight 24

  • Thanks Annie, my original target was a 3 stone loss (42lb), but it continued a further 7lb to 49lb. I think I am now at my 'natural' weight. I no longer have 'dodgy knees' - they had started to occasionally collapse - not funny when they suddenly 'go' as you are crossing a road - luckily I didn't end up in a heap on that occasion. They also gave out on me when I was up in London and I had to get myself back home by train - had to phone the office to say I wouldn't make the meeting - I was all tearful and felt a real twerp.

But now I am full of beans, knees are great, thyroid levels are back to 'border line' - previously they were in danger of me needing thyroxine (runs in the family), and I feel 10 yrs younger.

    FFM :)

Thanks for the exercises ffm - a very useful reminder - I used to do mine lying in bed before I got up in the morning and again before I went to sleep - I found it easier to do them on the bed (I've a firm matress) than on the floor.
  • raph - don't know where that happened, as last week you were a sts with a total loss of 70.2, so don't know when the error occured. Still, not going to get the bottom of that one - have change the original chart so is is all correct for next week - every lb has been hard earned and you don't want o be cheated of any!!
Annie - made a mental note to hound you out of silence if you disappear:D
Talking of disappearing - kiki has gone awol since the weekend. Hope you are ok kiki.

Today I have done well, sticking to plan. Had to larf beanie - as you posted your congrats on my .5lb loss yesterday evening, I was also congratulating myself with an entire pkt of custard creams:rotfl: . Tonight i have satisfied my sweet craving with a sliced banana, HM very low fat yogurt & 2 tsp golden syrup (1.5 syns) Loverly and I havea righteous glow about me:A

    Tomorrows green menu is:
bkfast - quorn burger & poached egg
lunch (at work) slow cookered lentils, onion, saltanas & sundried toms (4 syns) with gorgeous spices.
dinner - macaroni cheese: 5 syns (skimmed milk & sauce flour) + HEA cheese
pasta free. Serve with peas and tomatos.
Total 9 syns so must be careful not to indulge in any more (I find I can't have the full 15 syn allowance if I want to lose weight on the minimal exercise I do). Will need to watch milk consumption in tea if I want an HEB of weetabix as a late supper.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Out of interest what is Core Stability? Sorry if you have already answered that elsewhere.:D
Hi, Core Stability is the 3rd Workout on the "Davina: My 3 30 minute Workouts" DVD. It's basically like yoga you have stretching and breathing exercises, supposed to help with balance etc.

The blurb from the dvd "Core Stability This is all about poise, posture, balance and can have a huge impact on your overall health and wellbeing. "

BB, thanks for the mention, well done to all losing over 100lb this month so far :T

  • morning all! well done eve3ryone some great results!

delly, whats the career you always wanted? ffm well done - a whole year maintaining is brilliant.

So pleased that 24 is back on telly now. Watched the first 4 and totally hooked. Was talking to a friend last night and we were speculating about a spooks/24 crossover where Jack goes to russia to get harry back. Had to have a lie down at the very thought, especially as lucas would have to go too.

    Hi all

Don't get much time to post on here unfortunately, but clearly I need to.

I'm supposed to weigh myself on a Saturday morning before breakfast, but I won't be able to this week as I have to work easy, so I'll be weighing myself tomorrow morning instead (scales are at the gym). As I was at the gym today, I decided to weigh myself to see how I was doing. Now, admittedly, this was straight after lunch. But even so - I have put on 2.75 kg (6lbs) in a week.

I was so so so upset. I've been good this week - yes, I've had crisps, but all within Syn limits. The only un-SW thing I did was have dinner out with work (I had to go) where I had pasta on a Green Day with some meat, and some bread.

The only think I can think it is, is that I'm eating too much pasta and taking SW's mantra of 'eat all the pasta you like' too literally.

I guess that's a lesson in learning that one thing (an SW diet) can't be quite the saving grace I thought it was. :(

Can't believe quite how gutted I am, I feel so stupid.

Oh well. Onwards and upwards I suppose.

Well done everyone on weight losses etc this week and hope everyone's okay. BBelle - hope you're feeling lots better this week. :)

' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".

Don't worry :D I don't always look at the total loss column so didn't see when it went wrong, I thought it was my calculation to begin with!
At my heaviest I was 17 stone (238 lbs) and I spent 10 mins minusing 162.5 from 238!! :rotfl:
