Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Vixarooni - i wish i was 12 stone!! i'm 15 stone 5 (now) and wanna get down to about 14 stone (which will get my belly flat!!) :D

I miss read obviously!! My boyfriend is like 5 ft 11 or something, hes about 13/14 stone. He eats loads though, i think when he gets old and the metabolism slows down he will have to watch it.

He will complain hes fat all the time though, then he'll have a massive meal, a pie with cream for pudding and then 10 minutes later wants a yougurt. I could murder him sometimes!!

 Hello all. First time I have found this thread but I think I like it!

I joined WW at end of January last year, and by the time I went on holiday in November had lost 55lbs! I was so pleased!! Joined a gym in October and have taken part in two charity runs - last year that would have killed me.

Weighed in this week for first time since November (Gold member now) and had only gained 1.5lbs over holiday and Christmas period so pretty pleased with that.:o
  • welcome catti!

kiki, alas you have discovered the downfall of sw - if you go offpiste, you WILL gain. you have to plan for england. if you know you are going out with work - and often you don't - you need to try and get a menu and see it to stay ontrack, or say okay, i know it will be italian, so i'll have spaghetti bolognese for a green day so the sauce will be all my HEBs and the cheese at least 1 HEA, and no bread. It's good becuase you don't have to know the calorie counts, but you can be complacent - i was always good at not synning carbonaras, or seeing something exciting on the menu but still pretending it fitted with my planned meal, that sort of thing. If you stick to plan this week tohugh, the weight will come off i'm sure.

Quote from Ann Widdicombe column a while back :

If in one month you lose 3lbs 1 week gain 1lb the next week - it is still an overall loss of 2lbs - this is the positive spin i like to think about after losing 3.2 lbs one week and gaining 0.6lbs this week - still lost 2.6lbs!

I went on the website of Lipobind and another one called Pro something or other, the only thing I think you would lose is your money they are very expensive. Lets face it that Hoodia cactus stuff was overhyped, expensive and doesn't work (for me anyway). Prob with these fat pills is frankly I don't eat that much fat and I can't get my head round a product that encourages you to eat more fat because you wil **** the excess out!!

How about Chromium has anyone tried the supplements do they keep your blood sugar level & stop cravings ?

Find the best thing for stopping overeating is being very busy at work - which i am so must go off and get on!!!

HI BB, just checking the chart and you have put me down for 1/2 lb loss. can you change that to 2lb and I lost 1 kilo! (well 2.25 lb t b precise but whats .25 lb between friends??!):rotfl:

    Ta

    Mambury
Ha! That'll teach me to do it in my head cozam too bone idle to fetch the calculator. Entirely my fault mambury, as I have the 1kg down, but messed up with the calculations.I would put the .25 in becasue they add up over time - miss out the .25 each week say, asn soon the whole thing is way out.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Oh Vix what a big day for you! What are you going to do? It must feel really weird knowing that when you wake up in the morning you don't have to think about /write anything for your course.

I'll have the wine with you (as if I needed an excuse). Congratulations!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

The wine is cooling in the fridge as I type, Vix. I haven't been joining in with all this HHE stuff but I'll join you in a HHD.

FFM you must be mrs chuffed of chuffed land. Maintaing for a year is fantastic, no reason now why you should EVER slide back.

Thank you BB for my 'mention' as a lilac loser. The fresh start has actually resulted in some fresh enthusiasm ... and the 'mention' has reinforced it more than you could know.
