I couldn't give it up totally, just eating it in smaller amounts. Tried giving it up for Lent once - was a total chocolate monster once the 40 days were up.0

Hi all
Sorry I've not been around much - so busy at the moment:rolleyes:
Welcome to the newbies. This is a great thread.
One of my fellow teachers asked me what I was taking because I seemed brighter over the past 2 weeks. I said I had lost half a stone, been exercising nearly every night and taking Echanacia (spelling!!!???)
I sat and thought about what she had said and she is right I do feel better, have more energy and I am generally more tolerant (some of my children might not agree at times!!:D ) Now if I feel this much better now how fantastic am I going to feel after 3 or 4 stones. Please please please don't let me leave this thread I so need you guys to keep me here as I tend to wander and lose interest after a stone or so.

HHE became HHA because HHA was more inclusive = Half Hour Activity
It meant that we didn't have to do 'exercise', an 'activity' would also count eg housework, ironing, tidying etc basically anything except pillow bashing.

KPC - I left uni with a general degree and went straight into retail management without thinking of what I really wanted to do. Bought a house, got married, changed jobs, still without a clue. Took me ages to realise, I really wanted to be one of those people everyone seem to hate - a social worker!
The problem was, I couldnt get time off work to do the voluntary work necessary to apply to be a trainee social worker and get paid to study and I couldnt afford to go back to college either with the morgage etc. Now my life situation has changed, Hopefully my house will sell this year and I'll have the necessary back up to go back to college and study to be a social worker.
The first half of this year, I'm hoping to get my voluntary experience done so that I can apply to start training if not september coming, then the following year.
A glutton for punishment don't you think?Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Great stuff Delly, well done you for following your dreams :T Vix, if I'd known earlier I'd have had a wine with you but I'll definitely be having a beerski tomorrow night so I'll raise a belated toast to the back of the dissertation then. Congrats on making it :T
Interestingly I start my Masters next month, so you never know you may find study apealing again at some point (like about 5 days into 'working life' :rotfl:). I'm really excited about it, it's a good job noone can see me jigging round the house
I'm sure there was more to say but yet again - blank! Well done everyone for being here and keeping going :TThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000
