Been cleaning all day, trying to get it all sorted because the bin men come tomorrow(the cats have loved all the turkey bones been out there twice to clean it up off the drive way) DS got so many clothes he need more hangers and a bigger wardrobe:D all the stuff they got they loved, the lego has been put aside because the wii is played constantly:D we have finally found a present that a teenager and a young one can play on:D

    Hi all

Well, this is it - the house is empty and clean, we've found places for everything we're taking in the caravan, and we're all set for the off tomorrow. This will be the last time I can guarantee internet access for some time so I plan to make the most of it!

My new year resolution is to 'eat less and exercise more' - that old familiar trotted out by healthcare professionals. I'm not taking scales so apart from the odd brave venture onto public scales, the only way I'll know how I'm doing will be how loose my clothes feel. My first target is to get into a pair of trousers that I can do up but they're too tight, and then a pair of jeans that I can't do up.

Good luck to everyone with your resolutions for next year, whether they are weight loss related or not. Have a great New Years Eve. We'll be in Nantes then and we're planning to find a local bar and see in the new year with a glass of local wine - we've also got a bottle of bubbly and two flutes in the caravan. :D

I'll be in touch again soon, thanks for all the good wishes.

Have a great time LL - let us know how you get on.

Congrats to serendisglair - I assume that you accepted and that there'll be a virtual hen party when the time arises?

Good luck with the cycling FFM - how far is it to work?

tagz I can't believe that some people are so thoughtless - I have to say I'd be tempted to present them with a bill for fixing the floor - but it would damage relations. I always take my shoes off at the door especially with heels.
  • Hi FS, I need to measure the route again with my new mileometer, I think it is about 6.5 miles - it's 7.5 by car, but I go on the motorway, by bike it's a bit more as the crow flies.

  • Please can I join.
I desperatley need to lose weight. I have steadily increased over the past year and my BMI is now 30!!
Went walking in Yorkshire Dales on Boxing Day, 9 miles around and over Ingleborough and I was really struggling on the uphill bits.

I have a gym membership at work ( only £5 a month) never been for 12 months - so lost £60. Will go this year - honest!

I weight in at work on a Monday morning (NHS) scales regularly calibrated so can't blame them.
