I'd like to join this challenge please, I havent got a target yet cos I ahvent weighed myself, and won't until I start but it will be somewhere in the region of 42lb, and I'd like to join the 5lb a month challenge to spur me on.
I will start on New Years Day, but in truth more likely to be the 5th Jan when I go back to work.

Tagz, pleased your day went 'sort of well'. I would have been livid about the wooden floor - surely they should have realised - when we go visiting at Christmas (or any other time) we always take our slippers - or is that just strange?
Hopefully your increased BP was just a 'seasonal blip' due to the extra stress of your day. Take it easy for a while though.
Missy, I knew you would understand :T . I haven't any real 'plans' for this week other than to ease back on the chocs and mince pies. Thankfully all my chocs have gone, still a few Roses and Quality Street in their tins, and the rest of the monkeys have some choccies - but I am less likely to over indulge in their treats (unless offered). Only 6 mince pies left in the house too - so all in all the temptations are reducing. Oops! just remembered the Christmas cake and untouched Christmas pud - the cake I could take to work (or maybe ration myself to 200 cals per day), OH likes Christmas pud (so do I) so he might see that off gradually.
For the New Year I haven't made any firm plans, I would like to increase the cycling again - hopefully to do the London to Brighton (if my work colleague can add me to his entry - it's hard to get a place otherwise), also I would like to do the charity ride for the Stroke Foundation - the 33 mile one over 14 bridges - will post again about that as I have now been sent an entry form and want to find out if any other LW members are still up for a 'meet' in the park at the end (or even for the bike ride) - otherwise I have no one to go with
Lois-Lane - good luck on your travels and post updates to us when ever you can.

Not strange just very considerate. You are welcome round my place anytime! I am livid but trying to keep it under control - thinking of BP!:DI would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
Tagz your story about Christmas day and the floors made me cringe. I rent and still do shoes off on your way in for cleaning sake. You poor thing-I would have been so upset.
Missy thanks for explanation-so its a calculation I'll be using when I start with the bike.My friend just called to ask if they can bring it round now, but we've all been ill here since Christmas eve and she's pregnant so I think best not do it now...not like I can take any exercise now anyway.0 -
