HHE -1 hour and 44 mins on the wii fit, as Marion said the pain killers kicked in and was able to do it in the end and had fun with it, competing against myself and OH scores got 245 on the hula hoop and he still has got 250 top score:D everyone keep posting your fantastic exercises brilliant but can't aim that high;)
I am going to turn it around to the way bails explained it because it is true, no one compeats food wise ,I know I can't keep this exercise up so will do what I can when I can:D0 -
Hello! I'm still a newbie here, so I hope you don't mind me asking: does anyone want to join me in skipping for a HHE?
My sister has just given me a skipping rope! Apparently skipping burns LOADS of caleries and despite involving jumping it is classed as medium-impact, not high impact activity. I just tried it out in the kitchen. I didn't time myself, but I think I managed about 20 minutes. When I got tired I just marched on the spot.
As of last year, I jog/walk, cycle, walk, and do pressups. But recently I've been feeling discouraged and de-motivated in my attempts to get fit. I think I am getting a bit bored with my routine and need something new.
Who's up for skipping?0 -

So now, I make my lunch or tea and when it's cooked I put some into that bowl, to measure the same amount as I would have if it was porridge, and then transfer it to my plate. That's all I allow myself to have. I do allow myself a bit of bread with it and if I still feel a bit hungry afterwards I might have a yoghurt or something. I am also allowing myself one snack between each meal if I start to feel genuinely hungry.
Thank cac (chopandchange), I think we may have been twins and seperated at birth because my eating history is similar to yours. But I think I am eating more than you are at the moment, If I only allowed myself the same amount on my plate as my breakfast portion I reckon I'd be chewing the hind leg of my dog Charlie within a couple of days :rotfl::rotfl: Are you sure you are eating enough? I guess I am so used to the amount of free food that I can now enjoy guilt free that I would find it very difficult to go down to very small portions:o
Good luck with your eating plan and look forward to hearing how you get on.

marion - could you re explain the oats yoghurt fruit thing, sounds nice, but I'm not sure what oats to use and what to do with them. May be what I was missing from my natural yoghurt and fruit this weekend.0

No problem - I just weigh out 1 ounce (28g) of porridge/rolled oats and mix with a low fat yogurt (muller light/aldi optifit) . Put into a container in the fridge overnight and eat the next morning. I also put fresh blueberries in mine the next morning just cause I like them:p!
Very tasty, very filling and if you count it as 5 syns you can still have a HEB on EE:j
Love

Some very impressive losses coming in newbies:D :T .
nnm - please don't feel responsible in a bad way - you and other new folk have given us a very welcome fresh impetus and I think the general consensus after this morings discussion is that we're loving the HHE - though I too like 'HHA' even more. It was good to remind each other it isn't a competition, but some of us are responding so well to the extra push it does give, so keep up the good work.
Just done a top up shop at asda and heroically mamanged to come away with no biscuits finding their way in to my trolly. And boy, did I fancy some. Have had banana on ryvitas instead. Perhaps if I have lost weight at tomorrow's weigh in I'll allow myself some...
The woman in the queue in front of me had a trolley full of ww biscuits. Couldn't help feeling she had missed the connection with retraining to healthier eating habits. Her bill was considerably more than mine. Still, it may be what she needs to do right now, so don't want to sound judgemental.
Welcome chop and change! Really interesting to hear your story. One idea is to buy a smaller dinner plate and not pile it up and let nothing spill over the 'inner bowl' bit of the plate. Some dinner plates are huge. I believe the ideal meatportion size is the palm of your hand and veg should fill half your plate
You may like to look at www.thedietplate to give you hints: I'm not advocating you buy this very expensive plate, but it might help you see the general guidelines on portions.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
I managed some exercise! Okay it was walking round the supermarket but I did it :j
Portion sizes - this gives a guideline (not affiliated yadda yadda)
