Well done tagz. :) Everyone seems to have been so disciplined on here about eating over Christmas...I think I have some lessons to learn about self-discipline when it comes to Christmassy food. :)

Yay:j Thank you, now I don't feel so bad. Kiki the age calculation made sense to me when he gave it to me (maybe because I turn 30 this year:o ) maybe he was just trying to stick a figure in my head because he really wanted me to concentrate more on my ratio rather than BMI. But when I started talking about the mass calculation I started to see for myself that that didn't make sense-again, sorry for the confunction:o

Victory I like your idea of the mini tasks, gives us a bit more choice too:)

right, Im going to give myself a half hour cleaning challenge as it looks like Im starting to need the flyladies again:( And Ive not yet done any more work on that cake)

Thank you for all the replies yesterday. I like the idea of doing SW but think I am gonna try just being more sensible food wise and see how it goes. If I dont feel like I am getting there fast enough then I am fully prepared to try a specific diet plan. I finally got round to putting a new battery in the scales so weighed myself for the first time since August. I had a bit of a health push from June to September and lost half a stone. I then got bad health news at the same time as my scales needed a new battery so stopped weighing myself and wasnt quite so healthy with food. Despite thinking I had actually put on weight as clothes most definitely dont feel looser...I have lost another half a stone! So lost a stone in the last 6 months which I know is slow for a lot of people on here but given what has gone on in that time I am very happy! Have worked out that if I lose an average of a lb a week between now and my holiday then I will lose another stone and a half, meaning I will be 2 1/2 stone lighter on the beach this year than last! That would feel so so brilliant and will hopefully help motivate me!
  • dmv - slow is good: the slower it is , the more likely it is to stay off. And it's definitely better to go down the healthly eating route rather than a specific plan I think - raph has done brilliantly doing this (see pics in post1). I follow sw becasue it is still healthy eating but I seem to need a structure to help me eat well and lose weight, but that's just me.
    Keep up the good work:T
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

seeing some good losses here folks - well done. I feel sick as i have just benchmarked 30 of our js products against tesco, morr and asda equivalents. still, i used a teaspoon which is a step in the right direction. And i have 30 more to do on friday.

missy, the upping of the intensity is a logical solution. I need to find a way to make it work with my lifestyle though - the only way i can make time for exercise is to get up earlier in the morning - i'm away practically everyweekend; i work 5 days and 2 nights, plus i have to do the food shop one night a week so doing anything other than eat and then bed of an evening is not an option. So i get up early to use the wii fit. And i know this will sound lame, but I don't know that I have time to shower and get dry every morning on top of exercise! any top tips for getting from sweaty to clean and dressed for work in under 10 mins? and then of course, how to up the intensity - i can't run or cycle and the baths doesn't open till 0830 when i'm meant to be at wrok. Part of me thinks i sound lame and looking for excuses, but really i'm not.

Vix - that is fantastic re your own weight changes:T And again to hear you happy wth your body is music to my ears. You are right, just focus of a little toning. Great news re the swimming plans.

get me on that maintainers chart haha. I could never degrade the maintainers in that manner.

Right me is offy, i have done diddly squat to my dissertation, thought that facebook, here, 3 episodes of neighbours, the new years eve bbc programme and ross kemp on gangs was far more important than finishing off my dissertation which is due in a week tomorrow. Perhaps i should do some tonight! :/
