Ohhh exciting Raph!!! :j When is the event?
I know the feeling about running... the long termers on here might remember me saying (more than once!) I would never, ever 'do' running :rotfl:
Anyway good for you about signing up for the half :T0 -
Put me down for a LOSS OF 3.2LBS
Thank goodness for that the Xmas chub has gone as quickly as it jumped aboard!0 -

KPC, what about working towards upping the intensity of some of the exercise? Then you wouldn't need to find any more time and wouldn't need to compromise so much on the food side (which you obviously enjoy)0 -
Morning
Marion - The Dutch Pea Soup sounds interesting did I miss the recipe:D ?
I'll post my loss/gain this afternoon.[/quote
Enjoy - this really is nice!
Dutch Pea Soup - free on extra easy Slimming World
1 lb dried green split peas
6 cups water
4 cups chicken stock
few bits of smoked ham, gammon or bacon
couple of celery sticks including leaves - chopped
couple of leeks chopped
1 large onion chopped
3 large potatoes
2/3 large carrots
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp coarse black pepper
1 glug of hot pepper sauce
1. Prepare the dried peas by combining with the water and bringing to the boil, boil for 5 minutes, remove from heat, cover and leave in water for at least 1 hour. (I used ones I had already cooked and frozen)
2. Add the stock, meat, celery, leeks and onion to the peas and water and bring to the boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
3. Add the potatoes and carrots and cook soup for about 20 minutes, season with the salt an pepper and hot sauce to taste.
4. You can serve the soup as is but I chose to blitz it but left if fairly chunky.
Version 2 - all the ingredients as above but using the peas already prepared from my freezer - I simply chucked everything in my pressure cooker and cooked on high pressure for 15 minutes. Reduce pressure quickly, blitz and serve! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Morning all.SOme great results coming in thick and fast.
Seren - no prob, that's easy to do and sounds a good idea. I've decided to 0 myself too. I had lost 2 stone this time last year but I've put 10lbs back on and don't want to hang on to old news so going to start afresh with a lose 10lbs challenge for myself. Sts this week due to chest inf I think and eating a bit too much and minimal movement. Still, I've broken the biscuit habbit so far and if I hadn't would have put on more.
Kpc - lots of sympathy but I don't feel I have anything useful to offer. It's a toughie, no doub about it.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

down from a 44!!
A gain of 1.5 lbs for me this week, which is the 1.5 lbs I lost last week, so a STS for the first chart of the year for me please
Heading to the gym tonight for body combat, great fun. Tomorrow I'm planning to cycle the trail me and C walked yesterday! She'll be in work so I'll plug in my music and cycle my legs off
raph, 36 is far too big. Blimey! get a 32 back on, youre really small and your boobs will sag, and it will lift them and make them look better and give you a more noticable waist. Hope that doesnt sound harsh or mean or horrible but you need to look after them. Oh and hope youre wearing a sports bra, i'll let you go to a 34 for them cos some come up quite tight and you might find it a bit harsh, but your next one should be a 32.0 -

I'm happy to say, I'm feeling in a place where I'd like to start focusing on something other than the past. I feel like I'm over the hump now and can move on to a more positive future which means I've no more excuses for feeding my miserable face every night. You can see my goals on my sig.
I've tried to catch up but the main thing I've seen is the HHE. Sounds like a brilliant idea. And having it just at my danger time of 8 to 8.30 is inspired.
Raphael. - your pics look fantastic. Well done for sticking with it all this time and seeing the result.
Brighton Belle - can you please put me back on the chart and restart me at 0. I'm happy to say I haven't put on much weight over the past few months since I've been posting but I figure I'll let the weightloss from the heartbreak diet go into the ether. I dont want him taking any credit for what I achieve.
I'll be doing a 14 day rapid start plan a'la Dr. Phil to begin with to get me a kick start and maximise on my motivation. Its a lot like a SW original day but only 1 Heb for the first 14 days. Will see how I get on, but hope to be reporting in daily on my progress.
Good luck for the week ahead everyone!
Delly: i can safely say from your profile pic on facebook that the "foxy" part of the goal has well and truely been achieved. Youre a looker alright delly.0 -
right then here we go.............
I posted before to join and now (after scoffing half a pac of biccies in the process) I have figures and targets to post. I am posting my weight and BMI to embarras myself into really sorting his out...
Weight - 90kg
BMI - 34
so I should be
Weight - 52kg
BMI - 20
So a total weight loss target is
38KG:eek:
Quite frankly I am disgusted with myself to let it get that bad ( I don;t mean to offend anyone, if your happy in your own skin then :T )
So that gives me a target of 1kg min per week to loose.
Eating plans.........
calorie counting doesn't work for me, neither does low fat 'diets' so I have decided to become veggie again as all the weight has gone on since I started eating meat again when ttc my DS and then having 2 BIG babies and eating everything in sight! So with giving up meat I will HAVE to eat healither and I also aim to give up sugar except for very special occ!
Exercise...........
I don't do any at the moment so another big reason for all the weight gain. I have ordered myself a pair of running shoes although I said I would never........
I simply can't afford to join a gym at the moment so running it will have to be. I also plan to enrol on Yoga classes, not great for weight loss but I really enjoyed it last time and good for toning. I also plan to start commando classes on a Saturday morning. They are run by a personnal trainer who used to be in the forces. A friend at work went twice and dropped a dress size! and so far in 5 weeks has lost 1.5 stone without really trying! If that works for me then I will vanish my the summer!:rotfl:
Another very good reason for loosing weight is that I have PCOS which in itself is a really good way to gain weight and be hairy! If you like that sort of thing........
Anyway I am waffling now so can I be put on the chart as STS..........
be back soon! I;m off to add the scary figures to my sig, if I can work out how to do it!!!sealed pot challange #572!Garden fund - £0!!:D£0/£10k0 -
Hi everyone
Bum kick felt-thank you. And FFM thank you for your thanks:) It's always helpful to know my ideas are helpful to others.
Lois Lane I think I missed where you are? You said "Hola"? I also want to see your blog please?
Which made me want to ask how many of you have blogs. I created one last week which I'm working on at the moment-currently only has three entries, but everyone back home was asking for a website or something so I'm pleased I've done it. I will be in the kitchen a lot today...working on an army tank cake for Friday. I got the soldier done yesterday so today I want to work on the foliage.
I've decided I'm not going to get worked up about this week...I think in some way I knew it would be a bad week for focussing on my goals so I think I'll chalk it down to a holiday and start over next week when OH hits the office again-is that okay to do?
I figure it should be as you've all done so well this week at losing-I figure even if I pick up slightly it should go quite quickly.
Well done to all the losers this week:) :j:j:j0 -
Hello Mambury It's not about embarrassing yourself at all. We all share the same goal. We are all unhappy about our weight because of how poorly it makes us feel, so you are in the best place to feel good about what you are doing.
I wanted to mention though, my stats are the same as yours-BMI and weight-but I discovered the other day that a weight of 50 is actually unhealthy if you are over 30:eek: You should be aiming more for 60 if that is the case. Chat to your doctor to make sure though. I imagine there are various factors to consider, but when I told my doctor that I was aiming for 55 he was not very happy at all. He said if I got to 50 I would be withering away. Also he mentioned that your BMI should be lower than your age-but not more than 5 years-so if you are 30, you are aiming for a BMI of 26.
