Nearly forgot to post! Did my hours worth of aerobics and really enjoyed it (friend leads the class). Tomorrow I'm going to do aquafit for an hour at 11am. Any takers?

put me down for a STS this week please - it was my first weigh in afte christmas and slightly depressed. I'm now heavier than i've ever been.

trying not to blow it out of proportion as we did totally overdo it over christmas so i only have myself to blame. I know i have to get the eating under control as i just cannot make any more time in my life for exercise.

    sigh.

Ooh there are some good losses coming in :j:j:j:beer:

Freezing cold last night and I ended up eating the remains of a large bag of salted peanuts that my husband started and left on the table next to me. Mmm - accident or sabatoge:mad::rolleyes: Mind you nobody forced them down my gullet:rotfl::o!

New day new start - here is what I will have today (hopefully)

Breakfast - oats so simple with blueberries and milk (heb, free, hea) - I know it was the same as yesterday but when it is so cold it just has to be oatmeal!:T

Lunch - Must eat that left over stew from a couple of days ago. Was supposed to have it yesterday but I made the most fabulous Dutch Pea Soup which was so delicious it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I will have the rest of it tomorrow for lunch (assuming OH doesn't snaffle all of it for lunch today) (free)

Dinner - Lamb hotpot - (should be free now on easy peasy plan:j) will have with roast pumpkin which I just found under my kitchen table (don't ask! :o:p)- the pumpkin wasn't roast when I found it you understand!

Not planned any syns yet, no doubt they will find me!

    Love

  • Morning,

Sorry to be a pain in the behind to the esteeemed chart queen but could you reset everything for me and then put me down for a 1lb loss this week. I put on 3lbs over xmas but am so chuffed to have lost the 1lb when I only really started trying on monday that I really need it on the chart to keep me in the groove...I kow its cheating :p

I'll check the last chart and see what numbers you have to change to make it easier...(Think you just ahve to change all the columns to a 1).

Hope your feeling better though BB.
Feeling your pain kpc - I'm in the same predicament....but do what you always do and get what you always get! 2009 will be our year! (somehow)

    Morning

Change of plan today as my DD is off school unwell. Hence I can't do aquafit so instead I'll try to do an HHE on the crosstrainer at about 10am.

Marion - The Dutch Pea Soup sounds interesting did I miss the recipe:D ?

I'll post my loss/gain this afternoon.

missy/ffm/x-raph when you exercise(not that I could ever keep up with the amounts you all do) the cals you burn do you use them as a deficit to eat more or do you eat the same but the exercise looses weight/maintains faster?

Morning Victory! When I set my weekly calorie allowance, I add 2000 extra calories for exercise. 2000 is the minimum I would expect to burn with the exercise that I do. Averaged over a week, this is 285 extra per day.

However, when I do a major exercise session such as a 2 or 3 hour jog or a sprint triathlon, I would need more than 285 extra (of the right TYPE of foods) to give me the necessary energy and replenish my muscles afterwards. So on those days I would try to eat more than that, but I even it out by eating less on a less active day (when I might not use the extra 285 at all).

Whatever I do, I try to leave my body the equivalent of my BMR to function on, e.g:
Calorie intake - exercise burn = no lower than BMR
So the short answer is yes, I use it to eat a certain amount more, but in a way that supports my exercise :) Any exercise I do over the minimum amount should then contribute to a small fat loss. Hope this helps?
