Thank you Brighton Belle and tagz, I can definitely see why people post on here as it is definitely a morale boost. Oh is making one of my fave meals which is prawns cooked in a garlic, chilli and butter. Normally we put the marinade in a bowl on the table and dip fresh bread in while we are eating...but I guess I will be watching him do that with about 4 thick slices while if I have any it will only be one thin slice!Cant complain though as the meal will still be gorgeous and it will be a good start to developing self control!

KPC where there's a will there has to be a way, but looking at your schedule I'm slightly worried that you're already overdoing it  Where is your "me" time?

I would suggest upping the intensity gradually. What about buying a heart rate monitor and experimenting to see what gives you a good workout, you might be surprised! It will be different for everyone, but 30 mins of general housework or 30 mins out leisurely walking with my son both came out at higher intensity for me than 30 mins "wii jogging".

Have you looked into exercising with weights at all? That's something which can help with your body composition and doesn't need vast amounts of time.

The fitter you become over time, the less you'll sweat and the more you'll be able to get away with without needing a shower :p
  • FFM - just to double check re the chart. Before last sat you were 1lb over your maintain weight. On saturday you added another 1.6lbs to that. So at the moment you are 2.6ls over your maintain weight?

BB - spot on :T I wasn't sure how confusing I had been.

    FFM :)

see when i had my body fat done on the boots scales, it was 34%. Is that 34% of my whole body is fat? cos it seems pretty high. I know i have big hips and the alike, but still seemed alot.

All these measurements carry a possible degree of inaccuracy - about 3-5% depending on the method used. So while it says 34% it could still be a bit either way.

It's less of a health risk to carry extra weight around your hips and thighs than around your middle, so you're lucky there Vix :)

No probs Polka :D I think we're all in agreement that we need to consider the BMI chart in conjunction with other factors when we're target-setting! I very much use body fat % data to help with mine.

I've done a 35 min relatively gentle jog today as my exercise :)

Well done all those who have lost, sts, or are happy with their gain :j Bit of a slip today as one of the women I have just started working with brought in danish pastries and I had one as I didn't want to seem rude :wall: must remember not to do it in future. (Although it was very yummy so I least I didn't feel bad about eating something I didn't like, which is worse). Still on an almost veggie diet as the food here is definitely not overly healthy, looking forward to hm meals this weekend. Dragged myself to the gym. Managed 20mins on the treadmill mainly as I didn't have any more time. It was definitely easier than last time I went on one before I lost the weight. I managed to run at a higher speed than before.
Right must drag myself away now and do some studying. Was the Claire Sweeney prog worth watching last night as I may treat myself to a hhss in front of it if it was, if not a magazine for me I think.

  • HHE Result: 60mins Kick boxing :j

I was with you nmm 7pm to 8pm

Had a great laugh too :D . Boy can my mate kick - phew!!!

Not as unfit as we thought we might be either. Some of the warm up exercises were a bit beyond me, and putting together 'combinations' was a bit of a no-no.

Same reason I don't get on with aerobics - no coordination.
