I came across quite an interesting channel on sky last night  (not not what your thinking
). Its called Body in Balance (ch275) and runs exercise programmes all day! I had a quick look and last night it was yoga based, some bellydancing (I have too many bellies for that!) and a bit of ab toning thrown in for good measure.
Has anyone found this channel yet, any feedback???
I might have to sky+ a few to see.

In order for your over all total to be correct, I thought I had to show the combination of your gain over xmas of 7lbs minus your fantastic loss of 4.5lbs this week. So the differnce between the last chart and this one was a gain of 2.5. Is this right or wrong? Sorry I seem to have inadvertantly taken away from your excellent achievement this week:o
Annie - update enterd (forgot to put the formula in). And thanks for offer.
Sorry the writing on the pink came out a bit blurred:o .
Granny:rotfl:
Beanie - consider yourself gone lilac
Oh - actually that makes more sense doing it your way BB:T. I was trying to figure out my actual loss/gain yesterday morning when I was walking Charlie and even I got confused:rotfl::rotfl:! Thanks for that, hopefully I will have a loss next week (although I am finding the evenings very difficult and have been snacking too much:o)
Love
Marion
ps - how you doin? (imagine that being said in Joey from Friends accent:rotfl:)When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Thanks to op who all have inspired me to have ago and start using my kids wii fit (they have had it since sept 08)and up to last nite I had not put a foot on it. I really just had a play around for 30mins last nite looking at dif things you can do,so will start prop after work tonite.Looking forward to it.x
Also its great to read on here what people are having to eat ,as I have just started SW and still getting my head round it,I am just doing red or green days at min as I cant really understand how the new extra easy plan can work.It should hopefully become clearer in the weeks to come.x0 -
Hi everyone, just checking in as really busy at work at the mo. Well done to everyone this week there are great loses & the chart looks great BB :j (hope your feeling better), will post my first gain or loss tomorrow.
Still eating well, everything seams to taste even fresher at the moment may be its just me going a bit mad.
Well done on your HHE's everyone, did not get a chance yesterday if I get out of work early enough today might get some done tonight. Must go at work at ther mo & just been summoned
have a good day everyoneLose Weight 24 proud member0 -
Thanks for the chart BB, that must have been quite a lot more work for you to compile this time. How's the new oven?
I haven't seen so much effort going into the exercise in the more than 15 months I've been on this thread. Well done guys!!! I seem to have missed who it was that started the idea of the HHE (sorry), could someone please enlighten me because they deserve some credit!
Petcorner - if it's anything like my cross trainer, it IS a genuine workout just assembling it :rotfl: Good luck, let us know how you get on!
Hope you can find a way to achieve your targets KPCThe weights would work for the muscle exercises on the wii definitely esp lunges, squats etc - but as I'm sure you know it's not advisable to use them for aerobic workouts. Seren has listed some fab ideas there, it's reminded me I once made it a rule not to put anything "on the stairs" - I'd take whatever it was up/down the stairs every time even if it meant I was going again seconds later! I still do this completely automatically!
Mambury, great tip! I used to record tv workouts instead of buying more DVDs and I think some of the programmes might be the same. I tried Pulse Yoga, Caribbean Workout, New York City ballet workout(!), Bellydancing and Dru Yoga. The only one that I still do out of that lot is the Dru Yoga (I love the way that one is presented, it's so peaceful), though Caribbean Workout was quite good too.
Wii fitters - I've uploaded my old score sheet here if anyone's interested to see what's included when everything's unlocked
Have a good day everyone!0 -
Morning everyone. Killer of a cough now turned into stinking cold and I am not looking at my best:o . Why doesn't it all come on at once rather than in stages:rolleyes: . Anyway, 'me' feels ok.
Thanks for all the thanks for the chart. Actually it was quite fun and isn't that tricky due to who every set up the layout andformula in the beginning (was it lois - our current 50+european gap yearer?) It doesn't take long to get the hang of and you have all been very helpful in nice bold wi's:T .
Kiki - that's a brilliant idea to swop the 2 columns around. Never occured to me or others before. I think it was the way the chart evolved and used to focus much more on being a new monthly challenge every month so the target was the final column of lossing 5lbs per month. I'll look into seeing how easy/diif it is to swop round unless anyone can think of a good reason why not. These day we tend to rollover one month to the next and who ever is doing the chart uses there judgement to delete any one who has disappeared for awhlie: they are always wlecome back but it keeps the chart more compact and easy to read and do if everyone on it is 'live' IYSWIM.
Marion - glad that made sense:D
Leverton - do post more - it may help you feel more connected to us when the inital enthusiasm wains! So we can help kep you on the wagon.
Seren - some great tips there. I think I might try the loading the plate up and then removing half of it again one. Even if I eat it later in the day, at least it will stil be part of my plan rather than extra snacking on something new.
Deb - I would mentally put extra easy to one side for now and consentrate on getting to grips with red/green days as these work so well. It does take a while to get your head round - took me 3 weeks when I started.
I tried extra easy last week but have reverted to my favourite red days for now. Marion is doing great on it but she's a seasoned sw pro:D
Missy - it was polkadot who introduced the HHE. The free oven is lovely thanks, I still keep patting it as I walk past:D . I still love my remoska best of course, but my lodgers need an oven and I will occasionally.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
i was planning on using wrist weights for jogging and i use hand weights for stepping missy - is that okay?
sorry you're under the weather bb thank you for the chart.
great suggestions seren, thanks, i will try some of them. I like missy's thing of always take stuff up the stairs too - i tend to end up with loads of stuff to do so i'll try that one!
don't know if this one's of use to anyone, but if you have an electric toothbrush, try doing squats or lunges whilst you are brushing your teeth - thats 2 mins exercise for free! I've tried it with a normal toothbrush but fell over, it's quite hard to do two things at once when you are actually brushing your teeth.0 -
BB
looks fine to me , expect to drop down to average 1lb weight loss from next week. Shows how much havoc xmas week causes - up and down at about the same rate.
Watched Claire Sweeny - what was the point of that programe , obviously if you usually do lots of exercise and eat well when you stop doing both you will gain weight v quickly.Do the TV execs think the viewing public are stupid!!!
I was horrified to see choc in fridge - doesn't she know decent choc is meant to be kept in a cool place!!! not the fridge:eek:
Definately have to have a look at the exercise chanel if I have it - fancy a bit of belly dancing.0 -

I know what you meanBUT it was very interesting what the doctor was saying about the high blood pressure & i must admit, i was quite surprised how badly her fitness level deteriorated only in 6 weeks.
Plus she only went up to a size 14, which isn't exactly massive!:eek:0 -

Some great ideas for squeezing extra exercise into the day :T
Thanks for the chart as ever BB; hope you get over this asap.
Great news about the half marathon Raph, a goal like that is wonderful. I'm still hoping to get another one under my belt one day;) (I can/could run the route for the Bath one too, and it's a great warmup for London if you ever need it). Never say never!
I think the HHE is a fantastic idea and seems to be going really well - I love the idea that peeps can look at their WL as a more rounded equation ie not just about the food and can motivate each other. Long may it continue!
No news this end really - busy with work (4 lessons this week :j) and recovering from various little illnesses alongside the leg.
Have a good week all x
