Goodness you are romantic Victory - your husband is a lucky man. :D

I tend to look for stuff in the xmas sales because then I can keep them for the 6 weeks until VD:D (Anne summers knicers for £1, bras for £3/£4, primark whole lingere sets for £3, loads of chocs after xmas silly prices-tip, take them out of the xmas selection boxes or xmas boxes and put them in a piece of cellophane with a ribbon, saves a fortune, I also do that for the kids birthdays if the date keeps) I bought him and forgotten 1/2 price heart shaped box of ferrero rocher, def my ab fav apart from dark choc, I found them this afternoon:D they sell them in Tesco half price, it is not about the money, it is about the potato like you said, being inventive and def the steak was nowhere near £10 sary  wouldn't have even contemplated it:rolleyes: I also have £4.99 harvester deals from the papers valid until the 21st March, you get to choose from 7 mains and I love it because the starters, free salad bar is just what a calorie conscious person needs:D

The only full price I paid for his mag, bikes he is into, other than that I hunt, everything comes to those who waits:D not a full price kind of gal me:D

Yesterday I bought from tesco £1 BOGOF their expensive range (£20 it was originally) xmas puds in cognac, never eat them myself but OH does and they come in their own basin with the muslin over them, so pretty they can be for a present also, expiry date 2010,then in Poundland bags of kids lollies and xmas sweets 1/2 price, expiry 2010 so got 4 for £2, they are safely away for the big day. I have so much stuff for xmas already, more for the little one(clothes in the woolies closing down sale) lego (Argos got the price wrong and under charged me!) etc, whenever I go shopping I think of the future!!

spicey think why? Are you bored? Lonely? is it emotional? Or actual hunger? DRink a glass of water, wait 20 mins and often it is just hydration rather than food you need, if it is emotional, try to go and do something else, have a bath, play with the kids, make up this weeks menu plan, right down in a food diary what you have had and drank, keep tabs on it, chat on here, think of the future, the way you want to look and feel, the clothes, summer in a swimming costume, the wedding you are going to, distract the mind at all times:D

  • saryM - I posted this on the live on 4k challenge forum at the weekend if it is any help re butchers:

Just done an interesting experiment. It's 6 months since we decided to buy our meat from our local butcher, who sources locally reared 'happy' meat.
Through him we have learnt a lot more about cheap cuts of meat that we had never tried before as well as ordinary things like chicken. The flavour of everything is really great so we have gradually reduced our meat portion sizes I think.

So, yesterday we spent £30 on our month's supply of meat (which roughly works out £1 a day for the 2 of us.) I have just gone on line to check my last couple of sainsbury orders from when I used to shop there online. Our average monthly meat spends there would now cost £41 and if I upgraded some of the order to free range it would cost us £49.69. So it brilliant to see we have considerably reduced our costs by buying locally and supporting a local shop. (I know this can't compare to some of you who get great whoopsied bargains, but we are happy with this choice for us).
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

HHA result - 30 mins of heart rate monitored training, rubbish heart rate read out but slightly improved mood.
  • Hi all, not been around for a couple of days but I have been reading & noting down WIs.
I lost the 2.4 lbs I gained last week, so happy with that. Didn't do very much exercise last week so will make it up this week, been out for a run tonight so that should kick start me :)
Body % wise, apart from a 0.2 gain in fat, and a 0.2 loss in water, it's the same as last week.
