1lb loss this week, had a 3 course meal and FAR too many drinks on Saturday night, it was OH's xmas work party (they have it in Jan, so they can get a better venue)
Lentil soup
Chicken chasseaur thingy
Sticky toffee pud.
It was lush, the open bar probably did more damage, apple sours, wine, vodka....then the big plate of nachos I ate when I got home
Had a good time though. Got my op tomorrow......*please let the tumour weigh 14lbs...thankyouplease!*0 -

Amazes me how a bit of snow can grind us to a halt, i mean we get it almost every year, you'd think we could cope by now :rotfl: I will be venturing out soon for milk, but most of the snow has meltedCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0

Good morning!
I dont own a set of scales (they are too scary) but I have recently decided I need to loose weight. The interesting part is..... I am pregnant (24weeks 3 days) now this is my main motivator but also make monitoring my weight loss interesting. Any ideas?
I have started going to the gym 3-5 times a week, and have been given a "special prgnancy workout" which means I wont do myself or baby any harm. I am also trying my hardest to cut out the chocolate........but that is more difficult than I realised. I am down from 3 bars a day to one every other day which I feel is my first major victory.
Mainly I am wanting to join for the support factor, but I am aware I will not know my "true" weight till the end of may, when I will be weighed seperately from baby.
Thank you

We've got 5" of snow here in NW London ... deep enough that you can't see the kerb when you're walking off the road and deep enough that there are no cars or tubes. So not enough staff to open the school. I was supposed to be leading a course today so I walked in the snow to the venue just in case I'd got any people daft enough to still attend. Only 4 turned up so I then cancelled/postponed the course and walked home again. So seventeen thousand steps in deep(ish) snow .... that equals a gazillion calories (that's right isn't it, Missy?)so tonight's dinner will include cheese and oatcakes!:j :j :j
PS hoping to have school open tomorrow but have texted all the parents to say come at 11.00 in the hope that the snow will have melted and the staff will be able to get in by then!0 -

nmm - us soft southerners down here don't get this every year, so I suppose it's just not cost effective to have the proceedures in place that they do in places where half the winter is like this.
welcome ticklepenny. Sounds like you are doing sensible things like cutting down on choc & rubbish, but still eating plenty of the healthy stuff. I'm sure plent of peeps will offer support and advice soon.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Well trudged through the snow into work today, stupid I know as its knee high. Was certainly a different day we were so dead, anyhoo we shut up shop at 2pm so nice lazy day for me. Cadets is cancelled for the evening too, may get some time on the wii Fit
Wonder what work will be like tomorrow! Our doggie loved the snow totally wore himself out charging around after snowballs, might take him out again once more as the excersise wont hurt hehe
