Victory~In my humble opinion 3 hours is way too much for you.
Does it not make your arthritis worse?
Yes it does, crippling some days, feel like a very old lady getting about but I have got it into my head that I want to get the wii fit for one hour a day and have missed days so it was 7 in december and 29 days of jan so that adds up to 36 hours I should have done and I only have 29 recorded so i have let it slip, that and not having a job sends me crazy so to keep me focused and calm I have challenged myself on the wii fit to remain level headed:D oh and making sure that with the pedometer I walk the 10,ooo recommended steps a day which I have done so far:D

Victory - 3 hours? Sounds like an addiction :rotfl: What's your favourite 'game'/'routine'?

    FFM :)

Yes, it is official I am addicted, my fav after I have done the aerobics all of it is the tilting the balls into the holes, I have completed the easy one and advanced one, have got all the balls in and then at the end the balls stand up and wave about, great fun, rubbish at the heading, do all the yoga, muscle, def fav is the steps, steps plus, free jog, jog around the park, all the aerobics stuff really:D

    Hi all,

My current weight is 17st, I am 6ft 1", Have large bones. I have been trying to lose weight but my body seems happy to stay as it is.
About 5 years ago I used to exercise and got down to 14 stone, I hated it, a family member even asked me if i had cancer and that the new look didnt suit me, I felt pathetic being that weight, I know 14 stone seems alot but someone of my stature it just doesn't look right.
I went to the doctors this morning and whilst there I asked about ortistat, she looked at me and said the chemist would not give me it as I am too thin, but when I do the charts for bmi i am classed as obese.
The problem is people will guess my weight at 14-15stone, cos I carry well.
Anyway I ahve been cutting back and have been eating my favourite breakfast meal, porridge. This is helping me, I feel thinner but the scales dont lie.
I will not do exercise as I get obsessed and want to become the best exerciser on the planet, my mentality is stubborn, once I go for something I go way over the boundaries.
I used to jog 5 miles every day and suddenly stopped, I enjoyed jogging, but it took over my life, the reason I stopped is one morning I got up at 4am to go for a jog around the local lake, the weather was bad, infact it was a thunder and lightning storm, and I still went, see what I mean about obsession!
Could someone tell me what calories I need to be eating daily to lose weight.
I have an active job, say moderate activity.

Hi BoydE - good to see you, have you tried going into one of the free calorie sites (I use https://www.caloriecount.about.com), you can input into those your height, weight, gender, activity level and what you hope to lose in the way of weight and they will sort out a suitable calorie level (and if wanted activity level) for you.

In the meantime chat along with us here!

:hello: Hi Boyde. I follow a calorie controlled diet, best way for me as I am stubornly fussy (and cant spell). I can also take things a little too far. But I control that very well now I am older.

Today had fat free yoghurt and banana for breakfast, lunch will be ww tom soup and slice bread. Tonight we have a family celebration which involves lasagnia, salad and chocolate birthday cake. I think lots of salad and a small portion of the others. I weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed.

  • Hi all

Is it too late to join your merry group??

I am too embarressed to say how much I weigh but am looking to loose at least 4 stone this year but slowly. Cause I can crash diet but everytime I stop it all piles on again

Now i'm at a point that I need to do something before I seriously damage my health.

I hope that maybe by chatting to similar people I might manage my goal.

  • You are very welcome to join us alliwant:beer: . Soundslike you've had a lightbulb moment on how to lose effectively and slowly:T . Absoluutely no need to tell us how much you weigh - only what you lose:D . Bit quiet on here today but others will be along in due course. How are you planning to change what or how you eat/exercise? We have all sorts of ways done on here.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
