Hi everyone. Hope you dont mind me joining your group but I decided today I need to get back on track with my weight. Last year I managed to lose 2 stone but it has started to creep back on and I need to get focused again. I followed the slimming world diet and it suited me well so as from the morning I need to get back to it! lol
Hope that the thought of posting my loss with be the motivation I need.

Welcome candymonster! I do slimming world as well so if there is anything I can help with I would be happy to do so.

  • Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if I can sneek in here? I don;t post often on MSE, but i stumbled across this thread and it may be my lifeline! I have lost two stone since August, but it has not moved for two months now and bad habbits have crept back in... I still have a long way to go. I will post more when i feel braver!

Morning:j Brrrr! It is cold out there, what is the positive side of that? Well for one thing it makes it easier to pick up after Charlie when he goes walkies :rotfl::rotfl:! Sorry, it might be a little early in the morning for toilet jokes!:rotfl:

Back to the serious stuff now, this is what I will be having today:

Breakfast - oats so simple, sliced banana and yogurt (heb, hea, free)

snacks - apples and oranges - free
Lunch - Last nights leftover beef and veg made into a little cottage pie with the left over mash! (all free) :money:

afternoon tea - scan bran cakes - 3 syns

Dinner - Steamed fish with onion, chilli and tomato topping served with rustic chips (free + 3 syns)
late night nibbles - 10 pieces of licorice (just because I like it honest:p)

I would normally have a couple of glasses of wine on Friday nights but I am having an alcohol free week to see if it makes any difference to my weight loss. Even though I syn it I am sure it slows my loss down!

    Love

  • Good morning all you lovely slimmers ......can I please join your forum? I'm doing the S/W diet or at least trying my very best, I lost 3st on it about 10yrs ago and like a lot of people, put it back on again...............I live on my own and could use some support even if it's only to tell me to stay away from the biscuit tin (smile) and having recently been made redundant there's lots of time to be doing just that?

  • Thank you all for your wonderful welcome I think I will going to bed tonight knowing I have people willing me on and there when I need help.

Do most people with a wii fit only do the measuring test weekly or nightly as it recommends? As i'm thinking now from reading your post's I might just do it weekly so as not to get to dishartened by a animated step asking me why my weight has gone up!!

Well off to bed and looking forward to my cardio at 6.20am

Lots of good people here Alliwant, your very welcome I can assure you.

I personally do the wii fit body test every morning as soon as I get up - I try not to look at the weight section though, I just like getting the stamp thing and seeing how bad my wii fit age is. I only check the weight weekly though - as many people have already mentioned, weight fluctuates during the week and it's not worthy getting own on that matter if it has risen slightly.

Cardio at half 6 - crazy stuff lol! Keep it up though, and good luck on your weight loss journey. You are not alone!!....

Don't be shy, when I first joined in this thread I didn't post a lot, but I can see they aren't a bad bunch on this thread ;) It's great to have a read of other people's stories and so on, and I'm trying to get into posting more now myself. Good luck!
