nmm not sure that grip would help but thanks for the suggestion, maybe some one will invent one like the ipod arm band that might work better! Like the look of My Health Coach, I contemplated getting this for my DS but held off as we had just got Wii Fit. Will wait until it has been out a bit and can read reviews, hopefully price will drop a bit too.

tagz great minds think alike hehe, nice to know I'm not crazy. Lets see if we can't start a new craze lol.

  • BB - Your menus are always so good, you must have SW sorted. Do you have any ideas for some cheap weetabix that the kids won't eat?
Thanks for that annie, that's given me a nice little boost. I did work hard when I first started sw in June 07 and it took a while, but I gradually developed a 14 day menu(this changes every so often when I am in the mood to I develope new ideas).

I do find cooking etc (whether i am on a plan or not) is easier if I have planned ahead - saves energy (sometimes, like everyone else, I'm really tired and having good food to hand means I don't resort to junk) and makes sure I eat a variety of food. Then when my OH joined me on sw this last May, I had to re work some of the stuff, as I had been still cooking extras, like potatoes, for him before with meat based dishes. This got me into using celeriac & butternut squash much more. So yes, I do have sw in my head and find it all very easy, but it is good to have a refresher every so often which i am doing at the mo, to remind me of other HEB options etc.

My weakness at the moment seems to be biscuits, and drugs that make me hungry:rolleyes: so I eat an extra bowl of weetabix sometimes. I also do better if I have more red days than green. Others find the reverse is true for them.

Talking of weetabix - I tried the cheap stuff and it's 'orrible, so no suggestions I'm afraid:rotfl: . Unless ... - suddenly remembered I'm sure somewhere there is a weetabix cake recipe -But also seen posts of people who didn't like it...

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • nmm, I also got a Daily Mail 'Pilates for Beginners' DVD for 10p from the 2nd charity shop. Haven't tried it yet - but for 10p - can't complain.

HHA Result: 20 mins RC Toning, 10 mins WI Fit, 20 Min Nell McAndrew Ultimate Challenge - now I'm tired...

sarymclary, I always weigh myself first thing on a Saturday morning - so although I may be dehydrated, hopefully I am equally dehydrated every week :D

Good morning everyone, had a good lay in this morning which is unusual for me. My daughter was also up and asked for french toast for breakfast, which I have just cooked for her - Charlie had an upset tummy last night and she was met with the results when she came down this morning so of course she had to clean it up.;) (remind myself not to give Charlie reheated rice bake in future).

Must say it smells devine but I am not going to have any since I get weighed tomorrow morning and must be extra good today!

Breakfast - fruit and yogurt with scan bran cakes (free + heb)
Lunch - roast chicken, mashed potato, brussels, carrots, green beans, gravy (free+2 syns)
Snack - coffee and rest of scan bran cakes from breakfast (milk from hea)
Supper - Very large bowl of hm vegetable soup and fresh fruit as needed!

Hope you all have a good day
    Love

Morning all, I had a good solid night's sleep, which is unusual when I stay over at my BF's because he tends to move around in the bed so much it wakes me up. Last night I must have slept too deeply for it to bother me.

This morning I've ironed 2 big baskets of laundry, and been preparing the sunday roast. We have beef today. I've already logged into Food Focus what I'm allowing myself (although I am still debating whether to allow a dollop of mash or not??). I am trying to be soooooo good, and know that I have been feeling peckish in the evenings, but not caving in to snacking. Not easy when my OH sits munching on my oat biscuits!

It's a lovely bright, but breezy day here today, although I can't see there being time for me to get outside to make the most of a walk in it with so much still to do. I have asked the children to let me on Wii later on, so at least I'll get a step/balance class in.

I have my weigh in tomorrow with my friend, and I am worried it's not going to be as good as the past couple of weeks; possibly even a STS. I have not allowed any extra foods to pass my lips, and have stuck rigidly to my diet plan, so I can only blame TOTM, or just my body hanging onto every calorie it can right now! Getting more active will combat that I'm sure.

I hope you all have a great Sunday. Will check in later.

Hi all - have read this entire thread over the last 2 days! And I would love to join you all if that's ok?

I am following the SW EE plan at the mo and started it last Tues as I joined the club. So Tues is the dreaded weigh day  . Have needed to lose weight for sometime and have been up and down in weight in my 34 years! I am getting married in June 09 so that is a big motivating factor :D My H2B is also dieting but following WW. So I already have good support but you guys seem so friendly that I thought the more support the better?!

Sorry for waffling on - will stop now!

Raphael many congratulations on achieving your debt free goal! :j

FFM ditto for your fabulous milestone of 1 year maintaining! :D

Delly good luck with the house sale and your future plans!

Best of luck with the start of your Masters Bails! Hope everyone else is doing OK too, welcome new people and I'm sorry if I've missed any other important things :o

All's well here, first monthly weigh in was Wednesday and my weight was up a little bit (but I was slightly under before so no problems). Been eating quite a lot this week (over 1800 cals/day average), but I've also been indulging myself on the exercise side:

Monday: Cycling 20.3km and Road Running 5km in combo (732 cal)
Tuesday: Dry slope skiing 2 hours (632 cal)
Wednesday: Trail jogging half marathon 21km (1372 cal)
Friday: Swimming 1 hour equal amount back & breaststroke (421 cal)
Saturday: 30 min Exercise bike sessions x2 (334 cal)
Sunday: Body sculpt DVD 35 mins (184 cal)

Total 9 hours 13 mins and 3675 calorie burn. I know this is a lot (too much?) but I had felt in a bit of a rut for the previous few weeks and just wanted a splurge :) The half marathon distance was a first for me.

Have a wonderful week everyone, keep up the good work! x
  • missy, your exercise last week sounds great. I would love to have the time to do what you do. I also don't think it is excessive, you're not doing it to lose weight and you're clearly very fit - the variety is great.

Your current avatar is probably my favourite so far :D

I've had to spend the whole day on the computer today preparing a presentation for next week - have gathered most of the facts so far, but haven't started putting the actual presentation together - I think I need some exercise (I keep munching as I sit here :o ) but it will have to wait - next weekend I will celebrate and do something physical.

Will fit in some HHA's later.

bb I tried the cheap weetabix a while back and not even the kids could be fooled and hated them:rotfl: I did try and convince them it was the new recipe weetabix people had but no go:rotfl:

missy that is some exercise:T how do you know where to find the cals from? Is there a website you go on to calculate them because the wii does not tell you:rolleyes:

nmn shame the new game does not say what it is about because I would like to know, what I would want is faster better alternative steps to the aerobics on the wii if anyone knows of a good dvd would be very gratefull, love the aerobics on the wii but it is slow and repetative once you know the steps that are coming:rolleyes: I guess a dvd version would be dance?

I am going to try and beat the OP 30 mins step I think it was 2938? That is my thing for tomorrow.

annie I don't jog on the spot, found it boring just jogging looking atr the screen so I jog around the living room, side to side front to back whatever so long as you have the remote in your hand it counts but my little one cheats and just shakes the remote at the screen vigorously and it goes up in metres rapidly and he got over 10,ooo for the free jog:rolleyes: I don't cheat but do not do it on the spot mine was for the 10 mins free 2635 and the jog around the park 144%

I have fallen in love...with quorn nuggets, 29 cals per nugget, £1 on sale in Asda and Morrisons 12/15 in a pack and htey are just divine, love them and the kids can't get enough of them, those and the sausages I don't get a look in and we have just bought some different crackers hemp seeds and spelt, my son is fighting me for them:rotfl: oh and limbos smokey bacon 63 cals per pack lovely

    anyone tried falafel?
