love the aerobics on the wii but it is slow and repetative once you know the steps that are coming

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just shows how bad I am at aerobics - it confuses the hell out of me on the Wii.

Do you have any tips on the boxing? I follow what the Wee Man does but my score doesn't improve - should I be hitting higher/harder/further - more than he does? Or something else?

    TIA FFM :)

Thanks for the welcome :D Have been inspired my all the exercise that you all do so got back on my Wii Fit after 31 days off :o Did 35 mins of mostly aerobic stuff and some muscle and yoga. Then used my rebounder for the first time in ages.

I have a back problem so am in chronic pain that is reduced by some strong medication. So losing weight is an even better idea but can be difficult due to the side effects of the medication. Exercise hurts but I keep telling myself that it'll all be worth it in the long term! Fingers crossed that I get a loss on Tuesday.

Sunday: Body sculpt DVD 35 mins (184 cal)

Thanks for sharing your update Missy. The cals are interesting - I've long forgotten the relative cals for things (thankfully in my case) and it's crazy to see an off road half marathon only burns that many cals!! How do you work the figures out, purely out of interest? The half marathon in particular is a fantastic achievement :T My gut feeling about the amount you've done is that the fact you brought up the possibility that it's too much probably answers your question. It's great to know what your body can achieve and also ultimately I know you want to sustain a large amount of exercise long term, so just really listen to your body and it'll tell you what it can handle :D I'm sure by now you feel that your Sat/Sun workouts were rest day equivalent ;) but maybe a lighter week with an absolute rest day? One day I'm going to post a week like that :T...I may not have actually done it but I'm still going to post it :rotfl:

Such a lazy day for me, got up at 10am and then had breakfast about 11am then missed lunch as I wasn't hungry from a slightly over large breakfast! Dinner we needed to eat up some burgers that were going out of date, in an effort to be good I cooked them in the slow cooker with onions and chopped tomatoes (still a little heavy on the cals and fat tho eek!) and now to top it all off I've just eaten a small slice of wholemeal carrot cake ..shhh don't tell. No excercise so far unless you count walking the dog for 15 min, so off to iron and then think am gonna have to have a last minute Wii Fit sesh before bed.

Victory that was my 30 min step count, let me know if you beat it, or anyone else for that matter its always good to have a challenge :)

nmm - I have to say when I read the "wiimote in bra" posts I did laugh my head off and had to tell my h2b! But when I did my island jog it worked a treat and I managed 98% burn rate for first time :D Plus I ran passed the pacemaker and followed the dog to a new location!

Thanks lovely peeps :D I originally took calorie data from Fitday, and then worked out my own scale using those numbers as a benchmark and my HRM to ascertain the relative intensity of different workouts/activities.

I did have an absolute rest day on Thursday after the long run and then only swimming (non weight bearing) the day after that. Thank you about the half Bails, that means a lot coming from you as you've done a whole one :D :T

FFM - it's the timing on the boxing that gives the double points. Switch on the vibration feedback on your remote if you don't have it on already, you get a little extra 'feedback' if you time it perfectly. Once you get into a rhythm, those double points will rack up!

NMM - I can happily cover the Sprint Triathlon distance, and I'm chomping at the bit to do a Standard distance. 4-5 hours+ in one go is a bit tricky because of the school run but it'll get done at some point ;)
