well done Raph!
I went commando :rotfl: this morning and it was bloody hard work but I enjoyed it! I managed to run one lap to everyone elses 2 but I ran! I am so pleased with myself to manage such an improvement in one week. If I can keep up the improvement in my overall fitness then I I shall start running by myself as the evenings draw out.
My legs have started aching already so I can tell tomorrow will be a killer at work!! All in the name of the perfect bod! Well not perfect but less quilted.
I did slip up with a McD's after being hassled by the kids but I didn't eat all of it and I had small tea to make up for it.

I've tried to be extra good today. TOTM is brewing, and I really don't want it to impact too much on my next weigh in. I'm not suffering from the 'munchies' with it this month, which is a bonus.
I had a brisk walk across town to the supermarket first thing, so I was huffing and puffing my way there. I was certainly warm by the time I walked into Sainsburys, despite the cold wind. I bought lots of healthy food, but it seemed to cost me £100! It's not all for me, mainly the rest of the family, but it's clearly the meat that whacks up the cost. I'm tending to eat more vegetarian options at the moment, as the calories tend to be less, but I still find it filling.
I started the day with porridge, and tried a new soup for lunch; chicken noodle, which was really quite gross, but I couldn't face wasting it, so ate it anyway. It's only redeeming quality, despite tasting awful, was that it was barely 100cals a tin! Oh how I would have loved to have had a big bacon baguette that I'd made for the rest of the family though! Too early in the diet campaign to stand one of those right now. I treated myself to a snack of natural yogurt with cooked apples and a sprinkling of mixed spice. Now that WAS yummy!
Dinner was a quorn grill with mixed veg.
The children have comandeered the Wii today, so no chance of getting on. I will barge my way in tomorrow for a session of step and balance at least!
BTW Raph, I forgot to congratulate you on your accomplishment of becoming debt free. Wonderful news! Well done!
Marion, I do love that pic of your Charlie. What breed is he? He's got the cheekiest faces, although by the sounds of him, he's not quite so fragrant today as he was! I definitely think furniture moving is equivalent to a brisk walk - it always exhausts me, and my muscles the following day don't half ache!
ffm - muscle definitely weighs more than fat. I have some body fat/water scales too, and I know they recommend that you weigh yourself towards the end of the day for a better reading for your water, etc., as you dehydrate overnight. The downside is that I'm always heavier later in the day. My OH uses them too, as he is trying to gain muscle mass, and his BMI is very low anyway at only 18 for a 13 stone 6' man. He has found his fluctuates quite a bit though, so his BMI has been close to 15, has then gone back up to 19, but without gaining any weight, and not reducing his workout regime. Maybe try weighing yourself at the same time for a few days on the trot to see how they compare?
Hope we're all having a good weekend. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
I dug out my old gym clothes this afternoon in preperation for my induction tomorrow evening. I couldn't even do the trousers up !! OH is out with his bad tonight so I put kids to bed and put my new Davina workout dvd on to try and combat this flab. The dvd is great, I've got her boxset she did a few years ago, this one is just as straight forward, I only did the basic workout and will try the other bits in the week.
Everyone seems to be doing really well and it's lovely to know I'm not alone
Off to dye my hair now and have a well deserved soak in the bath, the silence upstairs of the kids asleep and no hubby in the house is bliss!!DMP mutual support number 199Debt free in [strike]2025[/strike] 2018 (hopefully a lot sooner!):j Smokefree since 10pm 2/7/08 :jBaby no.3 due 29/04/20110 -

Delly - well done on the house, here begins a new chapter in your life.

Thank you, I like that photo too! Charlie is a 2 1/2 year old Bichon Frise although I consider him the son I never had!:o:o:o I have had dogs before but honestly can not remember loving a dog as much as I do Charlie:o. Maybe its a sign of old age:p:D

Found this controller grip dunno if it'll help you hold the remote easier. While searching for that i noticed a new game out soon for the wii called My Fitness Coach, might be appealing to some of youCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -

That's strange I did exactly the same today ! Did 30 mins on the Wii and for the jogging found that the control kept sliding down my trouser leg. Ended up stuffing it between my boobies and hey presto it stayed in place! My OH burst out laughing and said there was probably a website for that!:rotfl: :rotfl:I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0
