:xmassmile :snow_laug :santa2: :xmassmile Just having a minute-the turkey is in the oven, gammon in the slow cooker, made cranberry sauce and apple sauce, all thats left is to bacon wrap the sausages, and thats all I'm doing food wise till tomorrow,Apart from tea and thats mince in gravy from the freezer with either mash or chips.
DH is in town getting me a surprise.:D

I will do some ironing in a mo-seems wrong to be stuck ironing on Christmas Eve,but cos I've been so busy on the food, pressie, cards etc. front I just keep ignoring it (sadly it hasnt gone away though)I'll have to stick some carols on .

DH spotted the cake I hastily decorated last night with ready roll icing,I just cut out NOEL and stuck them on over the base coat, pressed a few snowflakes in,added a gorgeous ribbon, prob took 10 mins, but he seemed genuinely impressed.Lets hope it tastes as good!

Off out early tonight to meet up with friends in the local for an hour or so,we do it every Christmas Eve,then we're going to town to see our young friends in the band playing at a venue in town.I wouldnt normally go out till late on C.Eve but hopefully I've got everything ready so should be ok.At least I know DS2 will not be rushing down to see what Santa brought at silly o' clock. He might roll in at that time though  .DS1 has just rung up-they arrived safely in Singapore,he was very uncomfy on the plane being 6' 6",and it was pouring down (but hot)He will try and ring tomorrow if its not too busy.

Anyway, may I wish everyone on here a lovely Christmas for you and yours, special thoughts if you are working or volunteering :A

Been mad here this morning, was in town for M&S at 8am and got all the stuff I wanted. They gave me some vouchers for £5 off in January too. Town didnt seem too bad in the shops but the car parks were a nightmare. Kids came too and enjoyed the last minute shopping.

Since been home had visitors. Have gammon on the hob which should be ready in about 1/2 hour. Will then glaze and bake it - the whole house will smell of cloves then - lovely.

Interview was strange yesterday - told me all about the job but didnt ask me any questions -dont know if that was because they had already decided that I wasnt suitable, anyway will find out in the New Year, job is a lot more intensive than I thought but the money is fantastic.
