Morning all
I still have some shopping to do, hubby & I are going to Screwfix, boy do we know how to live. Our loo flush has been a bit iffy for a while & has finally given up the ghost, so that will keep hubby busy for a while today.
Hubby will get his OS Christmas pressie sometome tomorrow, lol.
Have a great day everyone & don't get too stressed.
Hugs Hester

Morning all :T
Yay its Christmas eve, Going to have a quick tidy through this morning, and dd and I have to pop into town  , I was all ready, but dd and my mum made the chocs yesterday and they made so many and soooo big that they will not fit into the bags I bought, so we have to go and get some bigger boxes.
Will come back and make the sweede and carrots, and the cauli cheese for tomorrow, OH is on spud peeling duty. We will take little dog out for a long walk later, she knows there is a new squeeky on top of the kitchen cupboard and is driving me mad asking for it  .
We are having a buffet type tea tonight, all shop bought, and shove in the oven, in my defence I think we all have enough to do this time of year.
Will also have a glass of two of something fizzy.
Hugs to all the poorley ones.
Smoky, how are you doing xxxx
For those that wont be back on before, I hope you all have a great time xx
Steff I have been meaning to say, well done for volunteering all over Xmas :T :T

As it’s Christmas Eve, I thought I’d sing a whole song :xmassmile
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
This gave me quite a giggle this morning. A bit naughty but thought I'd share anyway. Dh was working yesterday and in town there were people selling home baked goodies, roasted chesnuts etc.
The chesnut seller was hawking his wares by shouting, "I've got hot nuts here!" Apparently this gave all the shoppers a bit of a giggle. One gentleman shouted out to him, "Don't stand so close to the fire!" That in turn gave everyone another laugh. :rotfl: Was glad to hear that despite the hustle bustle of last minute shopping, folks took a moment for a laugh.
Hope this didn't offend anyone. If so, mods please remove the post.Take the first step.
Even if you cannot see the whole staircase,
Just take the first step.

Morning all :santa2: :santa2:
Tru thanks for one of my favourite christmas songs. I used to sing that at the top of my voice when I took my dog out on a local field at christmas (it was the only place I could sing without offending anyones earlobes:o)
bethebee - I think you have an extra 12 hours in every day than I do - no idea how you achieve it all:eek: your house sounds gorgeous.
Off to see my best mate and my little goddaughter this morning for pressy delivery then its back here to [STRIKE]hide things in cupboards [/STRIKE] have a final tidy up before my guests arrive tomorrow. May do some veg prep and make the yorkies (we are having beef for a change) but will probably do it all tomorrow - only 3 of us so not too bad really.
If I dont manage to get on tomorrow I hope you all have a peaceful christmas and enjoy your family time - oh and that you get lots of fabulous shoes and handbags in your stockings (apart from halight and N9eav of course)
Happy christmas eve xxxxx0 -

be Father Christmas-hoping they're all asleep when we go to bed. Last year was a fiasco with stockings being opened at 2am. This year FC is too old and creaky to go upstairs so he is leaving the stockings downstairs and they will disappear if anyone goes down there before 5am:cool: :santa2::xmassmile :xmastree: :snow_grin :santa2: :snow_laug :xmassmile :xmassign: :rudolf:Merry Christmas
