NEC e616V JUST £29.99 at CPW!!!

I received my package today from CPW, and can confirm that the two batteries supplied are 1100mAh and 1800mAh of the E616v, but the handset appears to be an E616. I also got the 16mb MS duo card.

I too have just received mine and can confirm that I received the older 780 mAh and 1360 mAh batteries. >:(

Makes you wonder if we're receiving faulty/repaired/reboxed goods??? >:(

I got the old batteries and charger, an e616 phone but with a memory stick (16mb only).

Well, i ordered a couple on Monday morning for family as xmas pressies, had the 29.99 notification through but nothing else. I have emailed them asking them to clarify the price before they charge my card as im not happy to pay anything more than 29.99. I havent heard anything back, so will see what happens.

Has anybody else pursued this matter today I just phoned with little to no success. Said I would pursue this matter through trading standards if they were no able to rectify there mistake and refund me the £15 top up charge I was billed without authorisation. I asked for the Manager to contact me today so I am waiting for his call

How to get your £15 back?? Well I just got mine credit back to CC.

1) Call this number (0800 1388696), then get them to transfer you to customer care, telling you got problem with your order. ( Their web team are useless >:(, they don't have the power to pay you back, will only ask you to send the phone back.)

2) Let them know that they over charge you, stating that you only know of it after you recieved the goods. Tell them you have the initial fulfilment oder and the final delievery email order, both of which are different. Make sure they admit that itis their mistake and none of yours. DO NOT back down no matter what they said and make your stand, but be nice too. ;D

3) They will get their supervisor or someone whom will eventually refund you the £15. To help speed up thing, quote a friend of yours had the same problem and was refunded the £15.

Bad news is, we are stuck with the NEC e616 instead of the e616V. Well, I had both and I can tell that e616v is alot better then the one without v. You get bigger capacity battery and a charger that allow you to charge the batteries as well as the handset seperately. Lastly, e616 got 100k cif for both the camera, while e616v has a 300k and a 100k instead.

Well, you can try to push your luck to get them exchange a e616v for you, but i rather save an hour off talking to them. :-X

Well I spoke with CPW yesterday after placing a new order, and the lady said the phones they are selling currently are newly manufactured E616V's but NEC haven't had time to brand them as such, which means they will say E616.

I couldn't figure out if she thought I was stupid or not...

Anyway, that was a bare faced lie if ever I heard one...

I have just spoken to a Manager at Carphone Warehouse, twice 1st time they cut me off.

They have been told by the Internet Team not to give refunds. In their T & C's it clearly states that they can do this. I am checking this.

However he has agreed if I can give him details i.e. a phone number of anyone who has been refunded he will refund the £15.00. Please can someone help me who has had the cashback

there is nothing in their terms and conditions saying they are allowed to charge people an extra £15 for something which comes inside something they have ordered for £29.99

it's an absolute joke...they are breaking the law, and have lost my custom forever

i'll be writing to my credit card company to sort this out...to help, could anyone who has actually received a refund please pm me their order number so i can pass this information onto them thanks in advance
