NEC e616V JUST £29.99 at CPW!!!

I've had both phones from CPW now, the 616 and the 616v. The v does have the larger capacity batteries, 1800 and 1100mAh, the charger for the v allows you to charge a battery off the mobile and also one on the mobile at the same time. I'm also told that the 616 has had the software updated to v standard.
I got 2 batteries ??? a chunky battery and a slim battery. Is this the phone that has restricted bluetooth i.e. I cant send stuff to other people?

On the top right hand side of the invoice underneath Invoice, Transaction, Customer no., date there is a Contact name, this is the person who ordered and charged you for your phone. I used the freephone no. for sales and got transfered to her. I explained that I had bought the phone expecting to be charged £29.99 as advertised and was very surprised that they had invoiced and deducted £44.99 from my cc. I understood that the £15 top up was inclusive when I ordered it and not an extra. She said they were only aware of the problem Wednesday and the correct amount was £44.99. I said I had bought the phone in good faith for my daughter as a christmas present and could I please speak to her manager as I was not happy about it. She asked me to hold and when she returned told me that she would refund me the £15! This isn't showing on my statement yet, but hopefully it will tomorrow.
Good luck!0 -

What's the name of this person? Perhaps if the people who were over charged talk to her, they may get a sympathetic respose and the £15 refunded0 -

Recieved no further mails, delivery arrived on Wednesday to my home address instead of the delivery address, first !!!!!!-up there, then I opened it to find that I had only been sent 2 phones and charged 2x£15 in addition to what I had ordered and also the third phone had been taken off my order, second !!!!!!-up there. Looks like they tried to be smart and make the charge the same. I phoned them on Thursday to to try and resolve, first guy I spoke to hung up on me, second guy I spoke to was admant that he was doing his best to help me, he was also adamant that that I was wrong. So then spoke to someone else who told me that sorting my refund out wouldn't be a problem, but another manager would have to deal with this, and that he would contact me back that afternoon. No reply, so I called them back again today, was told that somebody would contact me. Again no contact, phoned again, this time I spoke to a lady called Roda in their e-orders deparment, she told me that she was manager for the day(think that pick straws every morning by the sound of it). She admitted to me that there had been an error wedsite that had permitted me to purchase the phones at the price I did, but she wasn't willing to refund the unauthorised monies that CPW had taken from my credit card. I asked to speak to her manager, but was told that he was unavailable. I was given her managers name as Steven and a contact number of 0208 869 5400 option 2, and I will contact him on monday to see if he's willing resolve this before I leave it to my credit card company.
You may think this quite petty over £30, but I like anyone else hate the feeling of having been ripped off, so intend to pursue this.
Hello, I was ont he phone for an hour with these people! Stephen is not her manager he is the manager on the same level! He is an idot as well, he won't listen to what you say!! Basically at the end of the phone call I admitted defeat and accepted the full refund for the £89+ and said I will go instore and sort it from there he said there would be no problem! anyway I get up extra early to find a parking space and was waiting for CPW Doors to open. I walk in and explain the situation. The geezer was on the phone to the esales people, first was told that Stephen was out, then they magically found stephen who said he didn't authorise a refund for the full amount! They said I would get a refund for the phones but not the £30 for the "vouchers" >:( >:( >:(
I was fuming as "Stephen Strachen" had lied to me several times on the phone and every time I picked him up on it by saying..."but you just said..." he said no I said this!! I said I recorded the conversation so we shall check back on it etc....he backed down then! :-/ The geezer in the store of CPW was cut off 11 times!!
anyway to cut a long story short.....I left the store with 1 hour 15 minutes later with no phones.....and a promise that the funds will be in my bank account :-[ I am NEVER dealing with this company again!!!Angel

there must be some law that CPW have broken by charging people for the vouchers without their consent?
I know it was a price mistake but companies surely can't just take out extra money without first asking the customer?0 -
Hello, I have just checked my cc statement online and the credit is not on there. So I telephoned customer care and the lady I spoke, after checking my details etc said that a cheque had been sent out to me for £15 - so fingers crossed.
LongDongDave asked "What's the name of this person? Perhaps if the people who were over charged talk to her, they may get a sympathetic respose and the £15 refunded"
Unfortunately she wasn't sympathetic and got quite annoyed with me, but I remained calm and polite to her and continued to ask in a reasonable voice if I could speak to her manager as I was not happy and wished to discuss it.
I'll let you know when the cheque arrives.0 -
hmm... yup.. phones arrived this morning... all with extra #15 vouchers on top of price..
not happy...
I will be writing to my credit card company to complain about unauthorised withdrawel from my account.0 -
Having just reciebed my phone today I see that it is in fact a e616 and not the e616v as advertised. I have also been charged an extra £15 for the voucher. I have spoken to Sam at Customer Care who says the pricing was a mistake which has now been rectified. I can send the lot back for a full refund if required. When asked why a e616 was sent in place of a e616v he was at a loss an stated that there were small differences in the phone and also the tarrif although he could not say what these were. He suggested if I was not happy with the phone he would send out a jiffy bag for its return when I would be reimbursed the monies or I could take it to the local shop and do the same with no hassle whatsoever. I am looking forward to tomorrow when I will attempt to take it back to the shop!Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0

Sam was the first person I spoke to!! he promised me it was the v!! I was insistent that he found out! and he had to check twice before admitting it was a different phone! I took the phones bak to the shop and had an hours extra worth of hassle as they didn't know what to do with the phones!! .....Still no money in account! >:(Angel

I took my phone back to the shop and they would NOT credit the vouchers. They said they would credit the phone but not the sealed SIM with the credit. I have to ring for the returns Jiffy and i should get the full money back!0
