Cheers Gadget,
Sent an email back to CPW saying the credit voucher was not enough and that I wanted the refund and they said 'no' the credit voucher is all they will offer. Looks like I will have to call them or TS about this!0 -
After much persistance I got CPW to exchange my phones (2) for the v models. They collected and supplied new ones. I have just received my cheque for £30 too so it did all work out OK for me, but it was a battle and it seems I must have spoken to everyone CPW employs. Probably 8 hours on the phone sorting this.
During this time (6 weeks) I have never had one pro-active response from CPW - no emails despite being told they had sent them and probbaly more than a dozen failed 'will call you back' promises. In all CPW's customer service has been absolutely awful, and I've even had internal CPW staff bemoaning their colleages and departments as useless and I quote " you need a single digit IQ to work there'.
Just glad I eventually got the bargain but I will never buy from them out of choice again.0 -
Got another call from TS today asking if CPW had phoned me as CPW legal team had been on to TS regarding a letter they had been sent to them, I replied no but I did receive a cheque at the end of last week, asked if this would be TS end of this matter and told yes, explained that i felt that CPW were out of order on the whole situation, but TS did not want to get involved further.
Later on I got a call from a very apologetic member of CPW'S legal team about their dealings with this matter, told them that even though I had now received all my money back I wanted CPW to honour the origonal offer, was told that they would see what they could do and phoned back at around 6pm to say that they had no stock of E616V's and no other offers around that price but had credited my account with £20 to spend inshop or online.
Just had a lookaround the CPW website and you cant get much for £20 so looks like I will have to spend with them again to get the £20.
Glad that this is all over, what a performance.

Sorry to bring this back to the top. Apparently the TS officer local to CPW's head office who deals with them has been on extended leave. The senior TS officer in my area is now going to pursue this for me, and is coming round to collect 'evidence', i.e. receipts, boxes, etc... to form a case against them. Hopefully this will make them think twice before thinking that consumers will just lie down when being treated this way.0
