I received my cheque today

I got an email confirming my trade in for £10 yesterday and then today I got my £15 cheque for the unauthorised credit although it didn't say that.

Next week I will complain about them sending the wrong phone.

Oh good this thread is not dead. I contacted CPW about this twice no refund so I contacted TS still waiting for news on how this is progressing. The people that got refunds were they expected or unexpected as I am still waiting for news

Mine was expected they agreed as I could identify someone else who had the £15 they would refund me.

my cheque arrived today. feels like a victory, but actually its not because i took the phone back. at least i got my money back though. finally ::)

CityLink attempted delivery way back, (around 17th December). Refused to accept delivery so was sent back to CPW

Just checked credit card online and they have refunded only £29.99 !

Just spoke to my local trading standards officer in Kingston, he's interested in prosecuting them but needs some screenshots of the original deal. does anyone have these for me to send on to him?

I've sent him my confirmation email which stated an E616V at order total of 29.99.

Just checked credit card online and they have refunded only £29.99 !

I have finally got a reply from CPW that states the following:

!...I have credited you with a credit voucher for £30.00 to cover the expense of your top up voucher. This voucher has an expiry date of 26th January 2006..."

Did everyone else just get a refund? Just so I can throw that back at them!

I have just got home to find a £30 check at last from CPW, I had informed TS about them and they were on the case for me last week and seemed to be getting nowhere at the time so this is a bit of a suprise.

In talking to TS about CPW I told them that I wanted CPW to honour the origional contract ie. 2 NEC e616v phones for £29.99 each, TS were told by CPW that because I had returned for a refund the 2 e616 phones that I broke the contract.

The TS rep I was dealing with could not beleive the way CPW were behaving and was organising a vist to them and starting a small claims proceding against them.

I havent heard from TS since last Thursday but I will be in contact with them first chance I get to see if this is the end of the matter or will any action be taken against CPW with respect to

1. False advertising.
2. Illegal withdrall of funds from my CC account.
3. Suppling goods with the apparent intent to deceive.

If it helps you or anyone else please feel free to use my Transaction Id No. 59637564 in gaining your refund, please also use the screenshots I provided earlier that newskiller is hosting for all to use.

How is everyone else getting on with CPW on this, what about those that had a refund and were going to follow up on the incorrect phone being supplied? let us all know.

It seems that it was not only CPW that were supplying the old phone models I had also ordered 2 from Amazon and got c616 models, Amazon were however almost instant in refunding all monies paid and covered all postage cost back to them including insurance, what a difference in customer care they even appologised for the error unlike CPW who refuse to accept the models are different even though you cant take a VGA 640x480 picture with the camera on the non v spec phone.

Also notice that people on another 3G forum were being conned by other high street suppliers and having difficulty as well so it seems that 3 themselves are a big part of this problem as they supply the phones to the retailers.
