I hope that by providing my order number (59625357) which you all can quote (as a friend of your whom got the £15 refund) if you still have problem getting your £15 back. ???

There is a few thing that I have to state, ie they refund me under the gesture of goodwill and only the CUSTOMER CARE can do that. Make sure they are the one whom you are speaking to. Other deptment will just ask you to return for refund. Lastly, be nice to them as the guy I spoke to are very helpful and even try to get the money back for me from their manager. :):)

You can check my previous post on the free number to call. Oh you do get a 16Mb memory duo and some people even get a 3rd battery. In order word, the item you recieved are not standard. Esp now that they are bascially repacking the old e616 and shipping it off as e616v after flashing its firmware. Worse thing is that with the new firmware, the keypad unlocking code that used to work for e616, don't anymore. >:( >:(

At least the battery are orginal, from maker of NEC, but they are all lesser capacity. :(:(

Sometime you earn some, other time you loss some. I guess that's life.

    Good luck! :):)
  • Seems to me that given the variance in what people are receiving in the box, that these phones AREN'T EVEN NEW!

In all probability they're reboxed returned/repaired stock!
  • they tell this to everyone. It's my suspicion that they never sent one, as it's VERY convenient that nobody has vouched for them that it was received last week. I only got it when I called up, it looked like something they'd put together in a makeshift attempt to cover it up.

I agree, seems stupid for 15 pounds. The best hting for everyone to do is write to watchdog (link provided a few pages back), and hope that they take it up with CPW soon to a satisfactory result. When you do, make sure you mention that they're just giving out the older e616 in an e616v sleeve, despite the contract of sale being for an e616v!

they had immediately issued a disclaimer email to everyone concerned, though it appears that I never received this or an order acknowledgement.

    I still can't believe this! I haven't yet received a full refund!

The manager Steve was very confident at reassuring me that the people who got the £15 refund was untrue!

I already reported this whole thing to watchdog but got abused and insulted on this thread for doing so!! so deleted my apparent "encouragement" etc!

They are ripping people off left right and centre and getting away with it!! They kept slipping up as they were telling lie after lie! I was very polite but factual and questioning everything they were saying! this made them slip up and admit it is all a mistake!

I put to them that they could have at least sent an email asking if we wished to carry on with the order, but instead they abused my trust by using my card to take what they wanted, I had even sent them an email warning them not to take money out of my account, and that they do not have permission to do so.....but they still went ahead!!

A total !!!!!! up! they should have honored the orders they had sent! they wouldn't have lost too much instead they have acted like a bunch of cowboys and calling us 100's of people liars!! They did not send any emails, they are in the wrong and are up to their necks in it!!
    :p:p Angel :p:p
  • I suddenly got an email through the other day saying two phones had been dispatched, even though I cancelled them both!! Phoned them straight away and they said to just reject delivery and I will get a refund. Think I will call my CC company and ask them to cancel the payment!
  • Trading Standards have just phoned me to talk about the civil and legal issues surrounding this and they would like a copy of the original page...if anyone has one can they pm me please?

    Thank you! :)
  • bump cause i really need a screenshot (see post above) :)

Don't be such a drama queen and FGS try to stay closer to the truth else any complaints you make are a waste of time. At the time you were encouraging everyone to complain to Watchdog YOU and most others knew little of the situation (IIRC you hadn't even taken delivery of a phone at the time). Such generalised and unsupported complaints just flood the system and are a distraction from genuine and well documented cases of wrong doing.

Since that time the situation with respect to miselling E616/C616 with a variety of packages as E616Vs has appeared to be widespread and similarly with respect to CPW refusing to refund or apologise for taking unauthorised payments. Further to this I believe they are refusing to collect these products at their expense or indeed at all.

Now that is a far different case to go to the TSO or Watchdog with than your original complaint that CPW would not honour a pricing error.

I have also heard many times that CPW are not responding to any emails and making it difficult for people on the phone. Passing them around, keeping them waiting and cutting them off.

Here, I'll even posts the links for you if that will stop the sulking :)

    Watchdog

    Complaints to TSO

I would also suggest that if unauthorised payments have been taken from anyones credit card they consider putting these transactions in dispute with their credit card company to add pressure to comply from a fourth side.

  • sorry haven't got one :( isn't the confirmation email at 30quid enough?

it's just a screenshot would confirm to Trading Standards that it didn't say anywhere on the page anything about the £15 voucher...anyone? :) pretty please! ;D
