    Morning everyone

Today I am having a red day today as follows: -

Breakfast: 28g ready brek with 150ml milk (one HEB and some of HEA) Black Coffee

Lunch: (cold) Morrisons Eat Smart Pork Sausages x 3 (Free), 2 slices of HEB friendly wholemeal bread, salad (Free)

Tea: Butterflied Leg of Lamb with winter spiced glaze from m&s (free) served with roasted veg (leeks, peppers, mushrooms, onions) (free)

    Pudding
Fresh pineapple and grapes or one of the new mullerlight yogurts that I have just bought!

    Syns
Hi fi bar – 6 syns
    new Mullerlight yogurt ? syns
    English mustard ? syns

My menu changed a little bit from what I planned this morning. I didnt have my bread so used the HEB for my hi fi bar instead. I roasted some red cabbage with bacon and spring onions which I enjoyed with my other roasted veg and lamb from m&s. Being a dozy what not, I cooked too much roasted veg so proposed to have the rest cold or re-heated tomorrow. Unfortunately when preparing my pudding (frozen red fruit, meringue nest (2.5 syns) and mullerlight vanilla yogurt with chocolate sprinkles (free), i had poured most of the yogurt over my fruit/meringue - reached for a spoon and then promptly poured the yogurt over the roasted veg

I snacked on some red grapes (free) and a packet of pom bears (cant remember how big the packet was so allowing 6.5 syns for these). I also munched 4 percy pigs from m&s which I have now discovered are 1.5 syns each - wont be doing that again.

I also had the vanilla mullerlight with the cherry layer at the bottom and chocolate sprinkled on top. I checked the syns and its 2 - so not too bad....

Its amazing how the syns add up - I poured a glass of wine to have with my tea (250ml) = 9 syns. I probably wont drink all of this but add this to the syns ive already consumed today plus an odd couple of syns for some sauce and Im at an impressive 29 syns.

I will need to work on keeping my syns down because although I always try to go for low syn choices, Im clearly having too many !
Finally a big welcome to all new members. its great having you here and reading your menus, reading your updates as to how you are getting on/how you are finding it etc. I look forward to supporting you in your journey :D

    Hi

I love my easiyo, I make two lots of yogurt each week...reduced fat and slimmers. I usually add sweetener (too sour for me otherwise)

Never got my hands on the low fat strawb and vanilla which is also free.

I suppose I could buy online if really wanted to.

    fluffynit :)

p.s I tried the berry one but didn't like it much

    Hi

Just wondering if any of you SW members use the Easiyo yogurt maker? I managed to get one off Freecycle and I see that in the Syns directory there are quite a few mixes that are free on SW.

The mixes are expensive £2.29 for 1kg of yog but not any more so than when Mullers go expensive. (Incidentally if not already mentioned 4 for £1 in Waitrose at present).

If you are an Easiyoer, are there any mixes you recommend. All I have tried is the low fat Berry flavour as they have a poor selection in J Graves. Thinking of bulk buying them.

    Anyone??

They had the strawberry and vanilla one. It worked out £2.27 each with the postage, but I got 5 of the greek ones as they only have 1.5 syns per 100g which is not too bad. Hope link works.

    I ordered 20 in all!

:hello:Hello! My name is Jemma, and I have joined MoneySavingExpert primarily for this thread.:hello:

I moved to uni this year, and the whole thing has been very stressful, and my weight has suffered. Every time I step on the scales my weight has just gone up and up and it's making me feel so down, that I just have no motivation to cook.

BUT this has all come to a head now. I really really need to change, otherwise everything will just go downhill. I have tried slimming world many times, but never been successful, purely for lack of willpower. Extra easy sounds like a top plan, I can stop having to hoard HEs for dinner and eat real breakfast, something I always crave on slimming world when it's cold and dark and can't face another piece of cold fruit :rotfl:

I would also like to add that it isn't the alcohol that has done this. Believe it or not, I don't drink due to emetophobia (phobia of being sick)

This story has gone on far too long. I need to loose not much, about a stone, but that is plenty to be getting on with. I considered going to a group, but the bus is £3 and on top of the membership and weekly charges I just can't afford it.

Please help, I feel so out of control and not in charge of my own body. :o

    Welcome Jemma.

But on EE you can only have one HEa and one HEb so you're in the same position as if you were doing red or green and had cereal with milk for brekkie  It is worth a try though - if you still have your old books they're good for the measurments of HE's you can have and we'll help you with the rest! Pasta's always a good one for students ;) (and me!)
