    SLIMMING WORLD v WEIGHT WATCHERS!

I have done sw before, and lost but found the plan hard to stick to as I couldnt eat what I wanted to eat becasue of the lack B's.
I dont like quorn so couldnt have shepherds pie, spag bol, lasgane etc unless I used a b or used quorn. So was wondering wether to do ww instead.
Both meetings are tonight so need to decide quick!!!

My consultant has rang today and informed me that there is a new plan where you get 1a and 1b and free food from both plans....meaning I can have jacket potato with tuna at last!!! whoopee!

Id really made the decision to go to ww and start afresh but now sw consultant has said this I am v v confused.

    Can anybody help??!!!

I really like Quark and always have some in the fridge. I've been using it for years, long before I attended SW. I used to use it for dips and it's great in cheesecakes too.

Morrisons sell it, so do Budgens, Tesco and lots of other places,

For me, if I keep stuff like Quark and plenty of fruit and crispbakes etc, there is no excuse for reaching for something more unhealthy;) I bought some powdered "dips" which are very low calorie and you just mix them with quark or 0% yoghourt and they're lovely. Flavours like Orange & Black Pepper, Chicken Tikka, Stilton & Apple etc. You can also mix them with cottage cheese and fill a jacket potato.

I'm doing EE again today and am just going to put 2 very nice pieces of salmon fillet in the oven, In the EE bklt it says that Couscous is FREE unless it is ground or used as a flour substitute.

I thought salmon, couscous which I'll grate some fresh lemon & lime over and maybe a few herbs and some nice vine tomatoes, lettuce etc. This IS OK isn't it?

I just noticed your comment about "its says that couscous is free unless it is ground or used as a flour substitute" I sometimes make couscous pizza where you use the couscous as a base not sure if anyone else does this. I was told by my consultant when i was last joined about 4 months ago that this was free thats how i found out about it. Would this mean that i should actuallly syn it?

Yes that is fine and sounds delicious. Mmm, sure I have some some salmon in the freezer, might have that tomorrow!

If you are using the couscous cooked then pressed into a pizza dish then that it fine, if you are grinding it up and using it as a flour then you have to syn it. Same goes for chickpeas!

Sounds good - can I ask where did you get the flavoured powders from and what are they called?:T

    SLIMMING WORLD v WEIGHT WATCHERS!
    Can anybody help??!!!

So the thing you didn't like about slimming world was you couldn't have meat and carbs together? Then yes, definately come on board to Slimming world, you can now eat both together and no limited portions like on Weight Watchers.

Weight watchers points = whatever you want but in small quantities

Weight watchers core plan = similar to extra easy but IMO not as healthy or flexible as no guidance on fibre or calcium intake and only a small amount of points to play with for food & drink that isn't listed as free

SW extra easy = unlimited red and green food together, plus one portion each of calcium and fibre a day, plus 5-15 syns a day to spend how you like. :T

Sounds like it would still be free. The "not really still free if you mess with it" rule is more applicable to if you are using it to make a cake for example, becuase that would mean you can eat a whole cake for free, meaning you'd probably eat it in addition to your meals. same as grinding anything up and using it as flour. There's no way that's a healthy mindset to get in, so that's why they've done that.
