I dont think im being stupid for wanting to syn bread as I normally eat loads of it. I also usually do 95% Green day, but I usually use both HEB on bread and have very little meat. And when I do a red day, i still use my bread as 2 HEB and crave potatoes. So the odd EE day will suit me fine. My treats are wine or chocolate, yours may be different. But I know if I dont treat myself with the things I love I will go off the track.
I was going to give EE a miss til next week, but I thought id give a try as ive been doing red/green for months now. To me it just sounds like a more healthier way of eating, more balanced, and still encourages me to eat more fruit, veg and drink water. Ill give it a try anyway and see if it works for me, or simply go back to green/red.
Everyone does things differently, and Ive learnt a lot from others posts and picked up ideas. To me, it seems stupid to syn something that is already free, if you know what I mean. I very rarely have a red day, 95% green, so I can't see how EE would be or any benefit to me. I eat cheese as my secong HEA everyday, except on some occassions I may have extra milk for a rice pudding or milky drinks.
Also, on the topic of sysns, to me it's not just a case of using syns for chocloate or 'treats' - I have a couple of food intolerances which means there are some 'free' foods I can't eat. Therefore, I use my syns to add extras to meals to make them (a) more exciting, (b) more filling and (c) to make up for what I can't eat.
I can't see EE working for me, except possibly the odd weekends if I have a roast dinner or something on those lines.
I can't get my head around how meat, potatoes, rice and pasta together can help you lose. Looking back at my older food diaries, it just doesn't seem logical. I suppose it's different for everyone, but I think I'll be stopping on green!
It's interesting to see the different perspectives from different people!:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

I know this has been answered already but....Also, Consultant31 or anyone else who knows for definate, I'm sure this thread has said conflicting things about how to syn things that are different levels of syns on red/green. Do you use the higher value or the lower one?
On Red - use the red syns
On Green - use the green syns
On Extra Easy - use the *lowest* syn value available
On Mix2Max - use the *highest* syn value available
On success express - use the *highest* syn value
I can see where the confusion came from - does this help!?0 -

Can you stop, and be back on course now? Not 'in a day or two' but now? I know you expected the gain over the holiday, but if you draw a line now, you could have a major chunk of that gone by WI...
In our class, we talk about waking up and starting every day 'the slimming world way'.... however bad the day before, we start again as soon as we wake.
Could you?0 -
Oh and can anyone confirm that Diet Coke Plus IS free isn't it? I've just bought 48 cheap bottles of it and it's not on the website0
