Any advice or comments more than welcome! I seem to struggle to find easy lunches to bring to work and haven't quite got my head aroung Extra Easy - love my bread!!
I have exactly the same problem with finding lunches for work. I do not like FF with a little bit of mayo either so that takes away having pasta salads, i have ibs so i can not eat too many jacket potatoes it really upsets me, I have toast for breakfast so thats what HEb gone and i save the other for dinner, I find salads boring and i know if i had that for lunch i would find something naughty to snack on in the afternoon. I'm very lucky i have a tescos next door to me at work and i have either a ready meal at lunch from the light choice section the salmon and brocolli pie is 1 syn on a red day really filling and really nice i still don't understand how it can only be that much but never mind, tomato and morzarella pasta bake is 4 syns on a green day and thats delicious especially because i love cheese a lot (too much), or i have a quarter of chicken and take the skin off or have soup.0 -

You don't HAVE to do anything except your green if you don't want to, but it gives the rest of us choices. I will probably still do 60/70% green but EE makes going out for dinner/the day easy as you can't weigh the meat they serve!
Syns are there to stop us from feeling deprived and giving up - if this means extra bread, cheese or anything else then thats a personal choice!
Yes, I realise that, but the point I was raising is, if I was to do EE, I would lose my daily FREE cheese. I always have my milk and cheese as my 2 HEA and toast with my breakfast as one of my HEB. It would mean I either had to give up 350ml skimmed or 2 slices of toast for a small piece of cheese or use 6 sins and miss out on something more satisfying or rewarding.
Simple observation and enquiry, not questioning the way anyone else follows the plan!0 -
But variation is the key to SW - if you eat the same things then your weight loss will slow (or as mine did stop altogether!)0

My Consultant explained at group that EE isnt for everyone, but encouraged all of us to give it a try even if only for a day or two.
She also said it would be great for meals out ect giving us extra choice, like she said we can still have a green day then a red then a EE, Then back to green, whatever fits in best that day.
They have lauched the EE plan as its sw 40th anniversary this year, and one of its aims are to encourage eating together as a family again, which the plan does make alot easier when you have kids who dont like quorn and pasta!!
I also think that if you get to the evening on a green day and still have an a & b left but dont fancy any, you could then snack on meat, fish and vice virsa on a red day, and still have stuck to the EE plan. If that makes sense.
I always try to save at least 1 B choice for in the evening and normally only have 1 A anyway, so the EE plan just means i can go with my mood if i decide i want something off the other plan at night.Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -

Its a syn free version of soft cheese (why use syns if you don't have to!), but can be used for other things as described above.0

I find it a great alternative to butter/marg, i use it on sandwiches, toast, in mash potatoes,on crackerbreads ect which means i save my syns and dont waste them on butter low fat spreads ect.Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
