I dont think im being stupid for wanting to syn bread as I normally eat loads of it. I also usually do 95% Green day, but I usually use both HEB on bread and have very little meat. And when I do a red day, i still use my bread as 2 HEB and crave potatoes. So the odd EE day will suit me fine. My treats are wine or chocolate, yours may be different. But I know if I dont treat myself with the things I love I will go off the track.
I was going to give EE a miss til next week, but I thought id give a try as ive been doing red/green for months now. To me it just sounds like a more healthier way of eating, more balanced, and still encourages me to eat more fruit, veg and drink water. Ill give it a try anyway and see if it works for me, or simply go back to green/red.
Everyone does things differently, and Ive learnt a lot from others posts and picked up ideas.

I don't think you are daft either :o

One of the great things about SW is that whilst we all follow the plan, it is so flexible in that it suits vegetarians, people with intolerances and allergies, people with diabetes, people on a budget and people with cravings for wine (me!), bread (you) or cheese (4li5on) - in effect we all have our own personalised diet plan... ....which works!!!

I think (for me) red, green and mix2max will continue to work monday to friday, with EE appearing at the weekends... but I wouldn't expect anyone else to do the same.

I kicked myself up the bum and went to class! I've signed up again and stocked up on hi-fi bars too. I forgot how friendly the class is and also the consultant Cathie is lovely too, she was over the moon to see me again plus she remembered my name!

She told us she's giving up my local class at the end of this month to concentrate on her other one nearby as she only has time for one group now due to her family, I've been told that the replacement consultant is just as manic and friendly though!

  • Can anyone help me with something i'm a bit confuesed what to do with the below. I'm having red day today but the only thing i have in the house to eat which i would enjoy as i have had a bad day work is a jacket potato the problem is it weighs 330g which is well over the 227g i'm allowed as B option. As i have had only one syn today is their anyway that i can syn the rest lol. Or should i just take it as a bad day. I have been really good all day which is annoying. I can't change to a green day as my ready meal was 8 syns on a green day and i want to use some of my syns up for a mayo and i'm sure the potato if i could count it as extra syns for the 103g extra would be less.

Sorry if this is all confuesing.

I'm having a red day today.

Sounds good - can I ask where did you get the flavoured powders from and what are they called?:T
    Marion

Marion - I bought them at a food fayre and they're by a firm called Green Cuisine Foods Ltd of Kent. I've tried to do a link to their site but it's not working. www.greencuisinedips.co.uk
but if you google them their phone number is available.

They are VERY tasty. I have just "syned" it and the WHOLE 57g BOX is 10 syns BUT you only use a teaspoonful to 100g of quark, fromage frais, creme fraiche, yoghourt, whatever.

I'm sure other firms must do similar mixes but I've been buying these for several years now and they're delicious.

Emma jayne - the syns for the extra potato would be 7.5syns for 103grams.
  • Emma Jayne - have an extra easy day

    B - toast & laughing cow (B & A) milk = 6 syns
    L ready meal ( red 1 syn)
D potato (free) plus any food from the red or green lists (tuna, sweetcorn whatever)

this 'costs' you less syns than calling it a red day and synning the potato... does that help or confuse further?

leaves you with 8 syns to use on mayo or anything else you fancy.
