nic - I noticed that the receipes seem to be still either red or green in the magazine (LOADS I want to try out of this months and the little booklet too). I'm guessing that they are teaching the newbies about the basics of red and green and the rest of us experienced lot can see that its free on EE
  • If a recipe would be free on red or green, then it will be free on EE - always.

    hi all.

Day 6 on EE, it's going well so far.

    Today's food:

B: WW Prune yoghurt and banana (free)
L: Homemade egg fried rice, spring onion, pak choi and bacon (free)
D: Cajun beef with tomatoes, onion, peppers and aubergine with pasta. (free)

Will probably have some porridge this afternoon when I get the urge to eat as my A and B. One (I have many!) of my weak times of the day is around 4pm, so I'm having the porridge around then to keep me going to dinner as we normally eat quite late - often after 8pm.

Hello, wow this thread moves really fast at the moment.

I'm not sure where I'm going with today. Had milk and shredded wheat for breakfast (HEB and HEA). Now for lunch I'm wanting a ham salad sandwich which would be another HEB and Free ham on red. But tonight I'm having a roast which means lots of meat but I wouldn't have any HEs for the potatoes.

    Can you sin SW roasties?

Yes you can, but why not syn the bread, have an extra easy day and then your meat and SW roasties would both be free?:j

    Hi everyone,

    Thanks for the welcomes.

Well I've gone and done it - registered and attended first class this evening. As I haven't stepped on scales for years I was shocked by how much weight I'd actually got to lose - 6stone 10lbs. Blimey is seems so much (it is so much).

I think I'm going to set myself 10lb targets instead of looking at the whole total I've to lose. Felt a bit like crying actually but have managed to be sensible about the whole thing.

Off to study the books now - think I'm going to be a Green Day person!

Going to weigh out my oats for brekkie :D

    Anni

Anni - you're in good hands so don't CRY!!! Please! I know someone who has lost over 6 and a half stones with SW in about 18 months.

I don't even know how much I have to lose, have you looked at a chart or something  because our consultant just recommends we choose how much we want to lose and then it can be adjusted! I started last April and just said I'd be happy to lose a stone. That went, then I said I'd like to lose another and I'm just half a pound off that.

As you say, try and focus on smaller targets, enjoy your new way of eating and above all, enjoy feeling healthier and fitter!! To me that is actually more important than what the scales tell me or what size a tag says in my clothes.

About 2 years ago I felt rotten, no energy, aches and pains, terribly tired, dreadful indigestion, heartburn etc etc but I feel like a new woman now. I walk miles, cycle, swim and all the aches & pains have gone. I no longer need prescribed medication for acid heartburn nor for anything else actually!:j
The SW recipes are fab and try and make each meal look nice and really enjoy it, because there's SO much you can eat and not worry about. Also, get out and doing things if you can and that will mkae you feel better too and keep you supple.

I'm sounding like an advert for SW aren't I? Sorry!!:o

  • I thought i would do a food diary for the first time on here see what peoples opinions are.

    Monday
Was supposed to have a red day today but because i didn't take any more healthy extras and i was in too much of a hurry to count the pototoes i was eating i think this could be changed to an Extra Easy Plan.

Breakfast: Shreddies (Hex B) Milk (Hex A)
Lunch: Tesco Light Choice Salmon and Broccoli Pie ( 1syn)
Dinner: Cottage Pie with potatoes as well as Swede (1 syn

Tuesday (Today) Think today will work out to be a Extra Easy as well as i am not planning to have any more Healthy Extras
Breakfast: Two Toast (hex B) with Two Light Laugh Cow Slices (hex A)
Lunch Light Choice Ready Meal Salmon and Broccoli Pie (1syn
    Muller light (free)
Dinner: Either the left over Cottage pie from last night OR an omellette, lean bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, and baked beans.

Love looking at everyones food diary. I want to start having fruit, yoghurt and honey for breakfast but i'm not sure if that would last me to lunch at work with the boredom of a slow january.
