    Red day ideas;
cooked breakfast style (works for brekkie lunch or dinner) - errrr breakfast lunch and dinner in my case lol - it is all i have been having!
Beef Curry with jacket pot (or syn some rice - 28g = 5syns) - beef curry, is that with bovril stock???? - could try this in slow cooker
Gammon, Egg & Salad (and/or HEb SW chips/wedges) - liking this idea with wedges mmmmmm
Quorn Peppered Steaks, (as above Heb) and salad/green beans & carrots - too dry
Stirfry with prawns/chicken/anything - not filling enough for a horse like me lol
Chicken/Turkey breast stuffed with garlic quark wrapped in bacon with stir-fry veg - this sounds lush but might try lite phillie as quark tastes yuk. Got chick and turk in freezer and bacon hmmmmmmmmmm
Lamb/Pork Chops, jacket pot & green beans/carrots - dry! I really would need butter on the potato!
Roast dinner, cabbage, carrots, green beans (Heb new pots and syn gravy) - no roasties, mash or yorkies! So not worth the effort lol
Shepherds/Cottage Pie with extra lean mince lamb/beef topped with swede instead of potato (can bulk it out with mushrooms, tinned toms, grated carrot etc) - this could be a go-er with carrot and swede mash.........
Mustard Chicken in Parma Ham with salad
    Omlette with ham/mushrooms/prawns/seafood/sausage/bacon
Beef casserole with HEb Jacket Pot
Tuna/Salmon steaks with green beans and HEb new pots
    - too dry again

THANKS FOR THE IDEAS I HAVE DEFINITELY PICKED A FEW THERE TO HAVE A TRY WITH. Only have 2 red days a week so should be able to cope lol. Got this tin of lean corned beef now so thinking of just mashing it up and calling it hash lol[/quote]

Unfortunately corned beef is no longer free. A few years ago I used to make a corned beef quiche which was delicious but I console myself by looking at the price of a tin of corned beef now.
  • ... although a tin of lean corned beef is fairly low in syns - 2 syns per 100g on a red day

Morning all not really posted properly for a week. I lost 1 lb last week and hope fully will lose another this week (Wi Tue) that will take me to 5lb from target. Ive just kept to having green/red then EE at the weekends mainly or the odd day. When I was having EE everyday I didnt lose anything, so im sticking to whats working for me.

    today im having EE -

Breakfast Fritatta with Mozza sausages cooked then sliced up, turkey rashers chopped up, onion, mushroom then boiled new pots cut up then fried in frylite with paprika, then make the whole lot into a huge fritatta. I had this at the weekend and it was amazing, filled me up til beyond lunch and made a difference to the usual boring brekkies i have. (free)

lunch - mug shot and ham and sandwich spread sandwich (heb, free and 1 syn)

dinner - Garlic, lemon and chilli king prawn stir fry with noodles (free)

Hea will be milk in tea, treat will be a creme egg (9 syns)

  • Hi Natalie not sure if Pastrami is free either, but you will need to check that one ... things like parma ham / salami all have syns - again, not many, but a few you should be aware of.

I did fast forward a while back - it is a plan that you can get directly from your consultant, but they do not give it out easily! It is a last resort, straightjacket, no food is free, limited choices plan. You are set a number of units a day (not many) and then choose which meals you will eat from a very short, highly prescriptive booklet. I did not go hungry, but it required lots of planning and was very dull. That said, I did it after I had maintained for about 6 weeks, and was losing heart - I lost 6lb that week, and it kick started my metabolism again (and also my motivation for the real plan improved too!)

If you ever get desparate, give me a shout - it is NOT an easy option :rotfl:
