Iceland have got crosse & blackwell pasta in 5 for B1G1F 89p each. On syns online says 'made up as instructed' and instructions include milk and optional butter. Do you think they will be free if made without milk and stuff (cheese and broccoli 1 syn per 100ml cooked)

ji i think they are free if made up with water

    Red day ideas;
cooked breakfast style (works for brekkie lunch or dinner) - errrr breakfast lunch and dinner in my case lol - it is all i have been having!
Beef Curry with jacket pot (or syn some rice - 28g = 5syns) - beef curry, is that with bovril stock???? - could try this in slow cooker
Gammon, Egg & Salad (and/or HEb SW chips/wedges) - liking this idea with wedges mmmmmm
Quorn Peppered Steaks, (as above Heb) and salad/green beans & carrots - too dry
Stirfry with prawns/chicken/anything - not filling enough for a horse like me lol
Chicken/Turkey breast stuffed with garlic quark wrapped in bacon with stir-fry veg - this sounds lush but might try lite phillie as quark tastes yuk. Got chick and turk in freezer and bacon hmmmmmmmmmm
Lamb/Pork Chops, jacket pot & green beans/carrots - dry! I really would need butter on the potato!
Roast dinner, cabbage, carrots, green beans (Heb new pots and syn gravy) - no roasties, mash or yorkies! So not worth the effort lol
Shepherds/Cottage Pie with extra lean mince lamb/beef topped with swede instead of potato (can bulk it out with mushrooms, tinned toms, grated carrot etc) - this could be a go-er with carrot and swede mash.........
Mustard Chicken in Parma Ham with salad
    Omlette with ham/mushrooms/prawns/seafood/sausage/bacon
Beef casserole with HEb Jacket Pot
Tuna/Salmon steaks with green beans and HEb new pots[/quote] - too dry again

THANKS FOR THE IDEAS I HAVE DEFINITELY PICKED A FEW THERE TO HAVE A TRY WITH. Only have 2 red days a week so should be able to cope lol. Got this tin of lean corned beef now so thinking of just mashing it up and calling it hash lol
DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debts :) Just to see which month :))))

Well done to all the losers...bet you all feel better for losing weight.
  • :hello: :hello: :hello: Hello everyone .. have you missed me!!:rotfl:

Back from our 5 days in Copenhagen, and heaven only knows what the scales will say tomorrow night, but I am at the middle of my target zone, so have 3lb 'in hand' and just hope that I haven't gone tooooo far over the top of it :o:o

Mind you, we had some wonderful meals while we were away - and surprisingly 'on plan' too - there are lots of 'buffets' in Copenhagen - our favourite was a mediteranian buffet green day heaven - cous cous, rice, loads of pasta salads, felafel, hummous etc - for my birthday meal :bdaycake: I had grilled garlic langoustines followed by steak with a huge salad buffet ... yum! (and 10 syns champagne and 12 syns of wine!)

So all in all, too much  but the food was on plan, and whilst I will have gained, hopefully not too much :o

So, after the supermarket to stock up again, I am back on track today to minimise the damage :rotfl:

    Green

B toast (HB) with spread (2 syns), tea (milk HA)

L mushroom omlette with cheese (HB) and jacket potato (spread 2 syns), large salad.

D hm rice and bean burgers with SW chips and sweetcorn. muller for pud if I fancy.

some syns for G&T or wine later :T

I don't think they are - they're not synned because of the milk (you count that separately as your HEa) they're synned because of some additional ingredient in the flavour (powder) so if you make them up with water you're only saving your HEa.
