I have weigh in on Wednesday then I have an operation next Tues so will miss weigh in for a couple of weeks until I am back driving again/recovered. I am trying to be good this week, but I am seriously worried about after the op. I would be devastated if I put all the weight back on. I will try and stick to it, and shop before hand to fill the cupboards with healthy stuff.

    Wish me luck!
    :hello:
  • Back from weigh in & i lost 2 pounds!!
That makes 6 & half in 2 weeks, so wanted that extra half pound but next week it will be mine! hehe
Pretty chuffed & last night in work 2 people asked me if id lost weight, that always feels good! :)

Just had my first weigh in after starting last week.

I've lost 2lbs which is good but a bit disappointing at the same time as I have so much to lose so thought I would have had a bigger loss.

But on the positive side it's been really easy and I've honestly not felt hungry once (I've been doing extra easy).:D

  • Well done St0lli - that is a fab loss  :J

Just so you know (as I am sure you already know), we all lose at different rates - I myself lost 1.5lb my first week (and second week - these being some of my largest losses), and have reached target and am still staying there.

You cannot measure yourself by anything other than what has happened for you - you have followed the plan, not felt hungry, and lost weight -

    WELL DONE!!!

Hello everyone haven't posted for a few days. I made up the slimming world chicken tikka curry tonight and it was ok - the only thing is I'm not a fan of tomatoes but I can just about stomach passata so I used that instead but i still found it too tomatoey I wish i could make sauces without tomato !!!
I also made up lemon/lime jelly with lemon muller mixed in - lush :D I think I might tuck into a chopped banana with a meringue nest and toffee muller now ;);)

I posted this way back on page 50 ... seems to answer your query - simple curry, no tomatoes
And, following a request for a completely totally fabulous, easy peasy chicken curry dish (quite mild). Recipe halves really easily if you only need to serve 2, or freezes fine

Shahi Murgh - free on red or EE - serves 4

1kg skinless chicken thighs (bone in or boneless - you choose)
250g vlf or ff natural yog
    2tsp ground cumin
    2tsp ground coriander
    1/4 tsp mild chilli powder
    5 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
    10 green cardomon pods
    8 cloves
    2 cinnamon sticks
    3 bay leaves

    Season chicken thighs
Mix yogurt, cumin, ground coriander, chilli, chopped coriander.

Frylight a large frying pan. High heat, add cardomon, cloves, cinnamon and bay, stir fry for 1 min. Add the chicken and brown on all sides.

Pour over the yogurt mixture and mix well (it curdles and looks a bit odd, its fine - go with it )

Reduce the heat to low, cover tightly and simmer for 20 - 25 mins. Stir occasionally.

Uncover, increase the heat and cook for approx 4 more mins to thicken and reduce the sauce (it all comes together quite suddenly)

Allow to stand for 5 mins, then serve.
