    Well i'm once again on the wagon and actually had a good day today I ate;

    Shreddies & Milk (HEB & A)

3 Quorn Sausages, a poached egg and b beans

Spag Bol (HEB for mince and HEA for some Parmesan Cheese)
    Pineapple slices.

1 Alpen Light Bar (3 Syns) 1 Activia Yog (3 syns) and about to have a few rich tea biscuits and a cuppa for my supper and off to bed.

So all in all about 10 syns....not bad.

Tomorrow I have a red day planned.
Remember ....its not a bargain unless you need it :D

    Do you syn these?
I think they come under slimming worlds "misuse of free foods" like chick pea "peanuts" & dont count as a free food.

Your right PK you do have to syns them as they are a misuse of free foods. But im sure to do it now and again it wouldnt make too much of a difference, as long as you werent having them everyday. It would be the amount of pasta you would actaully be consuming, even though it is free you would be eating loads to make lots of 'tortillas'.
I personally dont think they sound very appetising. I prefer to par bake some potatoes in the micro, let them go cold then slice them, but not too thin. Then cook them like SW chips, I usually add chilli flakes to them. This way I feel like im eating crisps (ok they are a similar shape lol) but I wouldnt be eating anymore than SW chips. I prefer them as I think they go crispier than chips.

Retired Lady, done the syns calculator again for the Tesco Rice Noodles and got 31 on red/green/extra easy.....how did you get your reading

Katie, just taking a guess here because I don't know what you did;), but when you go into the syns calculator it asks you if the food has a syn free compnonent - you should select yes for the green as the item in question main ingredient is rice. Hopefully you should then get the same result as us.

    What is extra easy?

    The official explanation:-
    Extra Easy:

    1. Choose your Free Food

Anything that’s Free Food on Green OR Original – so that’s pasta, rice, potatoes, lean meat, poultry, fish and all the Superfree food – is totally Free on Extra Easy! Yes, you can eat unlimited meat, potatoes and veg, fish, chips and mushy peas, and chicken curry and rice with no measuring, no weighing, no counting – no kidding!
And for super-fast, super healthy results, fill one third of your plate with Superfree Food!
    2. Choose your Healthy Extras

Each day select one Healthy Extra ‘a’ choice and one Healthy Extra ‘b’ choice from our simplified list of calcium and fibre-filled foods, including milk, cheese, bread and cereal.
    3. Enjoy 5-15 Syns each day

And if the Syn values for Green and Original foods are different on the standard Syns lists, count the lower one!
If you find your weight loss has slowed down or stopped, check………
    1. Whether everything you're counting as Free, is Free

    2. Whether you're under-estimating Syn values (over-estimate if guessing)

    3. Whether you're counting everything that should be counted

    4. Whether you're measuring everything that should be measured

    5. Whether you're sabotaging your success in any other way (using SAS logs will help uncover individual long-term self-sabotage patterns) and, if none of these is the culprit, either...........

increase the proportion of Superfree Foods to half of your plate...........

    OR...........

    switch to more Speed Foods

And above all, if you follow the plan, any plan, 100% you will lose weight!
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Morning all!

Went to my first class last night and OMG - how much do I weigh???!!

Well here goes the first day and I'm feeling very positive. It's going to be a long haul but I have to start somewhere.

All my meals are sorted for today and this evening I've booked sometime with my son to use the wii fit this evening (its set up on the same TV as my sons PS3).

    Onwards and downwards hopefully! :T

  • Well, after my highly successful first week, losing 6lb (whooooopeeeee) i am now on day 2 of week 2 and it is son's 5th birthday! MIL is coming around and mum and dad and me dad and 3 kids will be here. MIL is buying pizza but has let me order it.

Have ordered for delivery for me (other stuff for the rest of 'em):

medium italian pineapple and mushroom with less cheese option
    portion potato wedges

Will have 2 slices pizza with crust removed (about 10syns) and 1/2 portion wedges (3.5syns) am also making up some tesco pasta n sauce (chicken and mushroom) and some slimming world chips. Bet the family won't even notice he he. MIL said to 'forget the diet' but i am not ruining my hard work!

Do you think i can count the mozarella as HEA and take 6syns off my pizza :)

I guessed at syns as the edge veg was 4.5 a slice so with no crust i'm saying 5 as less cheese as well.

There will be birthday cake but i plan on eating so much free pasta etc i won't be able to fit any cake in lol.
DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debts :) Just to see which month :))))

    Hi all, :hello:
I've been away at some friends house, so I've not posted for a few days (and once again been trying to catch up with the thread). Anyway at Thursdays WI I did manage to get rid of the 1.5 lbs I'd (undeservedly) gained the week before and a couple more for good measure :j so I was well pleased. Unfortunately, I've probably regained some of that with my weekend blowout, but Hey you've gotta have a life. I'm on a damage limitation mission now and I'm hoping that if I stick at it I'll limit it to a STS this week, wish me luck!!.

No - sorry you only get 28 grams of bran flakes, however you can have 42g of All Bran fibre plus or weetabix crunchy bran.
